My husband and I stopped in on a Saturday morning. We had a chance to stroll the area before anything opened so it was nice and quiet and gave us a chance to enjoy the buildings and educational signage. Museums and trolley barn opened at...More

We planned to visit Japanese Friendship garden only. We had no idea about the Historical museum and electric car. Yet, it was a sunny day so we decided to have a nice walk around the park as the Japanese Garden was in dry season without...More

This is a beautiful park with several types of buildings from San Jose’s history HOWEVER nothing in the park is open for visitors. It is very disappointing to be lock out when the park is reported to be open. Call before going.

Firstly, this museum is free, so don't be too critical if there aren't guides or catering available during the week. It is a nice spaced out venue that allows you to wonder around approximately 35 buildings. There is plenty of information on boards, should you...More

Conveniently co-located with other family-friendly activities, a great glimpse back into the area history. And the trolley ride is great!

This outdoor/indoor museum is in the middle of the petting zoo and Japanese friendship gardens. So you can spend the day with animals, history, and culture without have to leave the park.

This living history museum isn't extravagant or sophisticated but it gives a realistic picture of San Jose's past. The different cultures of immigration are represented and give an unusual flavor to the park. A great outing for families who want to explore history together.
