We went to watch live performance of legendary Punjabi Singer Gurdas Maan. While performance was so amazing, we did not get chance to look around, however it looked like an amazing place for live performances.

I attended a musical at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts last night. The location, sound, and lighting were wonderful. The seating arrangement was AWFUL. There is no center aisle. You have to step over dozens of seated people to get to your center seat. By the way, they charge more for the center seats. Once I arrived... More

Located close to downtown San Jose, this is a great venue for theater as there is not a bad seat in the house! However, I do think that the interior does need some upgrading as it is starting to look a little worn. But aside from that, it is a nice theater to go to with family or out of... More

We love coming to the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts to see the national touring companies productions! We recently saw Newsies and it was fantastic!! The sets, the songs and the dancing was AMAZING!! There is not a bad seat in the house. The staff is professional and very helpful. Looking forward to our next occasion to visit!

A friend and I took off from work to see a show at the San Jose Center and it was amazing. The venue is just lovely. Parking is very easy and the restaurants are located close by.

We have been here many times over the years for plays, musicals, and most recently the symphony. The acoustics are great. It is a large auditorium with a balcony. But my biggest gripe is that there is no middle aisle. You are forced to climb over so many people that I just would rather go someplace else.

I have taken my family to SJCPA a few times to see the Blue Man Group, Nutcracker, and Celtic Women. You have a pretty good view from anywhere inside and the seats are very comfortable. The audio travels very well so you can enjoy the sounds of the performance without struggling to hear. The performances I have seen have all... More

Excellent performance, well managed group, and comfortable seating. I have not attended any other events at this venue. However, if this event is indicative of the venues ability to put on events - then it should be well worth the time and investment.

This place holds so many memories for me. And those memories have been entirely untouched by any attempts to bring this theater into the 21st century. It's the only theater of this size in the area, yet it gets fewer and fewer performances every year. With the ballet gone, I hope they manage to keep it open.

Very nice theater, somewhat confusing seating chart. Though the productions are top notch! Small selection of snack available during intermission. So, dine before attending.
