We live an hour away but always make sure we put Lost Winds Brewery on our to do list when we get to San Clemente. They make a wide variety of beers from the lighter beers to the full bodied beers, so both my husband I (who have different tastes in beer styles), always find a minimum of four beers we each love, so the taster sizes are perfect. It makes it more fun when you can pick and choose from different styles. The atmosphere is also great! You can choose from upstairs with a view, or downstairs if you’d like to mingle more with other beer enthusiasts, or even outside to play some games. If you find out when they are having a party, make sure you go! They have numerous beers, DJ and bands, food truck, and games to play out back. It’s a blast! Can’t wait to go back!

First of all, the beer is really good. After a sample tray of 6, I would up buying a couple of cans ( they canned them right there, which was cool ). The service was outstanding. Very polite, knowledgeable and friendly. There is a game room upstairs and a corn hole board outside. Very FUN place. Highly recommended.

WOW
Tried the Belgian at Brick, asked where it was from and so we visited Lostwinds last night and lucked out with the Thursday Night BBQ Food Truck!!
Food was delicious, very friendly bunch of folks, and Katie took great care of us serving my now favorite Belgian Beer, and you can take home your beer of choice in growlers or we went with our been canned on the spot !!!, who does that?
The selection of beer is varied to pretty much suit all tastes.
Amazing local photography hangs on the walls and just a great vibe.
This is worth the drive from Dana Point.
Great job Lostwinds Brewing, it’s refreshing when a business keeps it simple and does it really really well.

Great selection for many different beers. Good to try the sampler, and then pick a favorite (or 2). Food truck provides eats. Great tap room servers.

My husband and I brought our dog here on a Saturday afternoon and had a great time hanging out, enjoying great beer, and watching a playoff football game. I love that it’s dog friendly and there were several other dogs at the brewery as well. I enjoyed a Belgian blonde ale and my husband had a Light American ale. The bartenders were friendly and it was a very laid back atmosphere - I recommend stopping by here if you’re in the area!

My wife does not partake in the fairer drink, so dragging her to a brewery is hard. If it serves food, I can masquerade the visit at being for that, but aside from that, it is hard. My daughter has just recently come around to my way of thinking, so I got her to head out with me for a couple hours one afternoon on vacation to hit some breweries. Lost Winds was our first.

The bartender was great, very friendly, and the 2 other folks at the bar were fun to talk with while we were there. We actually ended up sitting at a table with one of them (Ethan) on our second stop for a while to talk, which was very nice.

The beers we had at Lost Winds were solid, and I enjoyed the visit very much. I'm sad I couldn't be there today (6/15), as the nice man wearing the kilt when we were there had promised to bring homemade pizza today.

Went with a buddy last night and had a couple of pints. Red Buoy Amber was good, as was the Double IPA. Not crowded, but not dead. A couple of families and no wait for beers. Great service. Similar to Artifex and Left Coast.

Had 14 on tap. Did a tasting of six found all to be tasty and interesting. Bar keep says IPAs most popular, however I don't care for the most popular and had plenty of other choices. Only been brewing for 6 months or so. Delivering kegs to local establishments only so for the best selections drop in to the tasting room

A big selection of beers and if you like IPA's or Belgian Ales, they have several of both of these. Especially great Belgian Ales. Very good and friendly service. Have a loft where you could have a small party; there was a birthday party there while we were there.

Lost Winds has only been open a few months and is a fun brewery to visit. Located just across the street from Artifex makes it easy to try them both in a day.

The tasting room has a nice bar and a few tables around. The staff is really friendly and engages with the guests.

On the day we visited, we sat and chatted with other patrons who were visiting from out of town, we all had a fun time. The beers are really nice. If you happen to visit while they are still pouring "Happy Birthday Baby Jesus", go for it. The beer is smooth and easily drinkable. With a finish that gives you a slight hint of the Christmas spices, cinnamon, nutmeg and maybe allspice. It is is not overpowering, just a hint, but makes it a great holiday/winter beer.

The brewery is in an industrial area and you will find plenty of parking.
