We see SB Mountain from our kitchen window. Only by accident (looking at a bike map) did I realize it's a parti with hiking trails, etc. The park abuts the city line, easy access and parking, trails long and short, challenging and easy. Great views of the city AND we saw a golden eagle!

for the physically fit, hike up this giant from any side, for the rest of us pay the six dollars to get into the park and drive up Radio road to the parking lot at the top, get out of your car and hike the ridge. dogs NOT ALLOWED, nor smoking nor alcohol.

This park is the best discover in San Bruno! Without too much driving nor too much effort on hiking, I am already on the top of the San Bruno Mountain. When the first time I hiked this park, I was shock by the beauty of the view. Stunning view of SF, downtown and the Oakland Bridge. When I miss these... More

Best kept secret, one of the most awesome views of San Francisco!!! Gorgeous trails, wish I could have stayed longer! Something to see over every hill. Easy access and as challenging a hike as you want it to be.

Always available parking, honor system contribution to park system, bathrooms available, paved walkways, no dogs allowed, nice picnic areas for kids with picnic tables. Views of downtown San Francisco are really nice on a clear day.

Well maintained, but natural-feeling trails through variety of habitats. Great views of the city. Not too many folks there hiking, so even on a weekend, it feels like a calming experience.

San Bruno Mountain are mountains that run along the southern boundary of San Francisco. It a county park so you do have to pay to enter, not unless you come in on foot. You can come up for a picnic, or for a hike, or for a quick urban getaway. San Bruno Mountain is one of a few places that... More

Easily accessible by car or bike. Paid parking lots within county park area. Plenty of walking trails. Layer clothing and be prepared for windy and inclement (foggy or misty) conditions.

Fantastic hiking and scenic experience in the middle of the traffic nightmare of San Francisco. I especially liked the stand of eucalyptus trees, climbing vines included. Why drive when you can walk somewhere for a change? Nobody will cut you off up there on the mountain. Spend a few peaceful hours hiking the Ridgeline Trail.
