Prager Winery & Port Works produces premium ports, fortified wines, and dessert and table wines using top quality Napa Valley grapes. We are a winery that has been family owned and operated for three generations and deeply involved in all stages of crafting our premium ports and wines. Located in the heart of Napa Valley, we have been aptly described as the perfect prescription for Port lovers since 1979.

Tucked away past a lush garden, the Prager tasting room is like a secret hideaway - rustic and casual - and unlike any tasting room in the Napa Valley. Currency from around the world covers the walls and ceilings. In our intimate tasting room guests can choose from a variety of our delicious offerings. Pick from the Vintage, Tawny and White Ports, or the Petite Sirah and Late Harvest Riesling table wines. To cleanse your palates between tastings, divulge in some of our delectable chocolate truffles and Imogene Prager's sweet and savory walnuts. Browse through our additional offerings from specialty vinegars, custom etched bottles, t-shirts, hats and more. We invite you to step off the beaten path and join us for an exceptional port experience.

After 8 days in Napa - this was the hidden gem and one of the best experiences. The port was exceptional and the staff (all family) treat you like a welcome guest, not a visitor to a theme park. Take a chance on something less commercial but far more exceptional.

We wine taste in Napa about every two months and Prager is one of our favorites. Best Port in Napa. Their staff is friendly and helpful. John is always good for a laugh and makes it fun. Old funky building with a lot of character. They sell cigars that compliment the port very well.

This is the only winery EVER, where my wife and I loved everything they served us! You can only get their wines from this location and that's good. It will allow those of us who have found Prager to keep the secret. The facility is simple, yet unique. Bring several dollar bills with you when you visit. I won't say... More

My husband loves port and was amazed in the taste difference between his normal purchase and Prager's. Our host, one of the Prager's, was very knowledgeable and helpful. We were fortunate to go on a weekday and had the place to ourselves. Can't wait for autumn to enjoy a nice glass of Port!

It's the only place I know of outside of Spain, that makes a white port wine. Their "Aria" is tremendous. The place is a little hard to find with a very small tasting room, but worth the effort.

If you like port, don't miss Prager during your visit to Napa. Prager is nothing like its elegant neighboring wineries. As we drove along a gravel road and came to rustic building, I became ever more curious to discover what might be inside. While the walls lined with dusty old dollars didn't fill me with confidence, the owner was friendly... More

Just went again to take my daughter and her boyfriend and his parents to try this port. They loved it! This place is run by two brothers and has the feel of the old 1980 Napa winery. It is up a long driveway and is in an old brown barn. The tasting room decoration is a must see and I... More

This is a must when visiting Napa. The tasting room is amazing - covered in signed banknotes from around the world giving a real "wow" factor. The port is pretty good too! Definitely the highlight in our wine-tasting stops.

The Prager Port works was amazing, great ports and absolutely off the normal path while you are in Napa. Entertaining, great personalities and amazing ports...you really haven't had a good port till you have had a Prager.

In 2006 we discovered Prager Ports…that’s when our love affair with ports began. It was the first time we tasted a White Port – Aria! It was spectacular. We have returned to Prager’s Winery every year since and have purchased the majority of their ports and late harvest Rieslings. Jeff and Kevin are most hospitable and this family gem is... More
