We stopped at Rutherfords as part of our bike tour. We had a flight of wine and used their garden for our lunch. Great wines and friendly-knowledgeable host.

This has been one of our favorite places to go in the area for many years. The wines are excellent. Patricia is wonderful. She is very knowledgeable about the wines and such a lovely person to talk to. The tasting area is unusually comfortable and relaxing, more like a friend's living room than the usual bar.

Riding bikes with my girlfriend along the Silverado Trail and the sign that said “Chocolates and wine” caught our attention so we pulled in. Did a tasting with Fernando who was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about the history and attributes of the various subsections of Napa valley and was not pushy about Rutherford County wine. The setting is beautiful, the wine was awesome and to top it off,Fernando offered to deliver the bottles we bought to our hotel since we were on bicycles. Sure enough, when we returned to our our hotel room around 5:00, out bottles were awaiting us. If you like chocolate and wine this place is a must

Although I cannot complain about the service as the staff and Sommelier were extremely accommodating, knowledgeable and kind, the wine and chocolate tasting lacked luster. We thought we were in for a treat with this ranch being so classic and a rare chocolate pairing offer. After experiencing other wineries, this tasting room was very bland .We were disappointed in the atmosphere. It needs an upgrade or flare to the decor. We felt like we were at Shoney's or Quincy's. The wines were average and the local chocolates were median at best. It would have been a better experience if the cost was more like $25 or $30 pp instead of $45 pp. It was over priced even with the extra pour of a new bourbon wine they are making now. Again, the service and friendly staff saved the day, but we can't recommend a tasting here for the price point.

We were not impressed with the tasting or wines. Skip this one since there are more outstanding places to stop.
