The oldest winery in Napa Valley, Charles Krug recently renovated its historic Redwood Cellar, turning it into one of the region's most stunning Tasting Rooms. Named one of the "Top 10 California Tasting Experiences" by Food & Wine and winner of the 2015 Architecture and Landscape Award for Best of Wine Tourism, this is the winery that put Napa on the map. A must-see for anyone interested in the legacy of Napa Valley winemaking. We offer several tasting options daily, including barrel tastings, private tours, and exclusive tastings of our limited release wines. Walk-ins are welcome, or call to make an appointment.

Hum..

Wanted to love this place but found the wine lacking. Maybe my palette was fatigued but wanting. The tasting room and grounds were glorious. In that regard I highly recommend.

We visited here on a Sunday afternoon having stopped at Gotts for lunch. We had planned to do their barrel tasting; however, we were not there in time. So, we did their regular wine tasting. While I did overhear some really good information shared with some folks doing a tasting next to us. Our wine guide did not seem as... More

This is a great place if it's super hot outside because it's dark and cool. We did the classic tastings for $20, but the tour looked fun around the grounds and indoors

We stopped in here for a classic wine tasting and it was very pleasant. We like Charles Krug wines to begin with so found no surprises. We split a tasting, which worked out just fine for us. It's very comfortable and the people are very helpful and pleasant.

I was sad they had sold out of Zinfandel Port but had a great time drinking great wine at the winery. Always a stop when I visit Napa

My wife and I enjoyed a tour of Charles Krug Winery as part of the Napa Valley Wine Train. Our guide was very knowledgeable and provided a great overview of much of the history of the winery, as well as the Mondavi brothers specifically. Some of the rooms we visited were quite striking (check out the website!), and we definitely... More

Husband and myself dropped in and did the regular tasting as we had missed the reserved tasting. We did a combination of the reserve flight and regular flight. We were sat at one of the high poser tables as there was no space anywhere else. It was a rainy Saturday afternoon. Whilst I appreciate that it is the weekend and... More

I took my wife on a surprise trip to San Francisco for her birthday as she was born under the Golden Gate Bridge at an old naval hospital and had not been back since she was six months old! Nice facility and, clearly they do lots of events. Did the regular tasting which was fine. The person helping us was not exactly unfriendly but condescending and maybe just having a bad day. Acted like we were a bother. Down rated because of that. Might return and do the reserve tasting next time.

I was a little reluctant to stop here simply because I was looking for a less commercial experience. You won't be disappointed. Buddy was an awesome host. The facility is beautiful. Make this a must stop winery. Even though the reserve tasting is $40, it is worth it. You won't be disappointed.
