The sommelier at this place was very personable and was on his toes the entire time we were there. He was eager to answer any question we had. This was the only winery we purchased wine from. The Meritage, it's delicious.

We started out at Robert Mondavi, where my friend became a wine club member by agreeing to purchase at least one future wine shipment. That membership entitled both of us to complimentary tastings at six other wineries, including Franciscan, under the Constellation umbrella. We enjoyed an assortment of really nice wines at four of them over two days, and appreciated... More

Staff was very nice but wines were young and acidic so we did not buy any. This was our fourth winery stop and the least preferred of the bunch (Mondavi, Ravenswood, V. Sattui had much better wines). FYI - if going to O'Briens Winery, know that it is a private estate and you need reservations for a tasting.

A beautiful estate with gardens, entre water feature, art pieces & a lovely building and ample parking. Step inside to a bustling tasting room/gift shop. The wines are excellent & the camaraderie with other guests and staff is fun. Be prepared to stand and truly enjoy the wines of this place.

The grounds are impeccable. Loved our visit. The host serving our tasting was knowledgeable and offered us many varieties which were not part of the flight.

I like the Franciscan Cabernet you can buy at any store--it is a good wine. We stopped here last year and couldn't get waited on so we left. Our friends wanted to go here this year so we stopped again. The woman who did our tasting was new and didn't know a whole lot about wine in general. I'm glad... More

Friendly and knowledgeable staff and great wine. Being a red wine snob, I was shocked that I loved their Chardonnay so much. Great outdoor seating amongst flowers and other plants. If we go back to Napa, this will be on our must-do list.

Visited winery tasting lodge early in the day. Was greeted and served a selection of wonderful tasting red wines. The host was very informative and well versed in the types of reds produced at this winery.

But the rest is pretty average. Could have used more employees, seems like one lady had to do ALL the pouring. However, finding their chocolate sauce made it worth the wait. Totally awesome......try some!
