What a treat! We got some recommendations from Gary (from Wine Tasting Driver) of small production wineries to visit, and he was spot on with recommending Allora. Matt guided us through a brief vineyard tour followed by a Library Wines tasting in the cellar, and we had such a lovely time. The wines are excellent, and we had a great conversation with Matt about the history of the winery, the varieties they grow, and Napa wine/food culture in general. We would have never discovered this wine if not for visiting (they don't distribute to restaurants or retail), and we're so glad we did!

After visiting 7 wineries/vineyards in two days, you may think we may have been wined out...but even though Allora was the last place we visited, it really was one of our favorites. The private tasting down in the cellar was very laid back and relaxing. I believe Terry, the owner, does a lot of the tours and have heard he has a big fun personality, but I think it was pretty cool that Chris, his son, ended up being our host. His personality was perfect for me and my husband! We saw him the next night out to eat and it was like seeing a long time friend. :) Oh yeah, and it didn't hurt that the wine was delicious. :)

My wife and I hired a car service and guide, James with Flex Wine Tours (reviewed independently), to take us around Napa for 2 days. We toured 8 wineries in two days, 4 on Saturday and 4 on Sunday.

Allora by far was our favorite winery on our trip. The humorous personality of Terry was very refreshing along with the amazing wines that he produced. This was a completely private tasting experience with just us and the owner, at his estate. After a short stroll through the grapes, we entered his wine cave to start tasting the varietals. Almost every varietal that we tasted was REALLY outstanding, but the Lusso reserve cabernet was fantastic. Needless to say we took home a couple of cases and a set of 4 of Terry's patented wine glasses.

If you like cabernet and private tastings, Allora is an absolute on your next trip.

What a wonderful time we had visiting Allora! We had a driver and town car for a day and he suggested Allora to us as we like the small family vineyard experience. He called and got us an appointment for a tasting a few hours later and it was our favorite stop of the day!! Had a delightful time with the owner's son Chris (Thanks, Chris!). He gave us a taste of so many wonderful wines and told us lots of entertaining stories. We will be visiting again when in the area, and hope to find Allora in New York soon! Love all the wines, the Tresca is a favorite!

Family-owned Winery. The owner is personable and funny and fun clearly is very proud of the wines he serves. And there is a good reason for that, they are all pretty excellent in their own right. Nothing fancy here and no cave to taste in, however the room is cute his specially made wine glasses are amazing and the wine is great. And yes, I am now a wine club member!

Had a business trip with a wine tour as an activity. The owners were so welcoming as if we were part of the family. The tasting was amazing and the food provided for lunch was so good. The wines we tasted... Cab, Petite Syrah both great wines that can only be purchased at the winery. They do not distribute to stores or restaurants. They will also do a private label cab for your personal use.
Thus was a really cool place with the best hosts
I really suggest that you visit them!

When you experience Allora, it’s like being welcomed into their home. We were part of a group that visited that included a lunch on their lawn, yard game and plenty of flowing, yummy wine. Well worth making an appointment to enjoy this vineyard.

We had such a great experience at Allora Vineyards. Our driver for the day, Dennis, highly recommended that we try them out. The owners were not in town, so we got a private tasting with their wine maker, Mark, which we had a ball with! Mark was extremely knowledgable, answered all of our weird questions, and poured us some GREAT wines. Would definitely recommend both the tasting experience as well as their wines! I believe we walked away with a bottle of Port and a bottle of Petite Syrah. Thanks again Mark for ending our fantastic day in Napa!!
