Very Nice Winery for Tasting

I've had Merryvale wine in San Jose, so I was delighted to be able to check out the winery personally. It has a nice atmosphere for wine tasting, either at the bar or at one of... read more

We recently stopped here as part of a group of 14 couples touring wine country. We included Merryvale because we (my husband and I who planned the trip) had previously been there and remembered it as a beautiful place with good wine. We hoped to share that experience with our friends. We had scheduled ahead of time because of our... More

We tasted at Merryvale during a recent trip to St. Helena. We had tasted some Merryvale wines before and knew we loved them. Merryvale offers a variety of tasting options. We selected their high-end tasting: a vertical tasting of Profile wines. Our private tasting was inside a gigantic old wine barrel. The atmosphere was amazing. Our guide, Eric, walked us... More

This is in my top 2 wineries! We were lucky enough to have Greg Wilson serve us during our tasting experience and he was great! Although Greg is new to Merryvale, he has a long history with wine making. He answered all of our questions in a way that we could understand and learn, plus he later customized the wines... More

We have been here many times and planned our wedding reception here and from the very beginning of this process, the staff at Merryvale have been absolutely amazing. Planning a wedding isn't easy anytime, especially when you live on the other side of the country, but we both knew we loved Napa, and when we found Merryvale we just knew... More

We were winding down our day prior to dinner and this had been a vineyard we've stopped at a couple of times prior to our recent trip. The couple we were traveling with had wanted to stop here. The outside was very pretty and the reserved dining area for parties is beautiful. My first memory of it was when they... More

I've had Merryvale wine in San Jose, so I was delighted to be able to check out the winery personally. It has a nice atmosphere for wine tasting, either at the bar or at one of the many tables that are stationed around it. The wine is very good, but they did not have to particular type that I was... I had never heard of Merryvale until my visit here and now I'm a big fan. Our tasting specialist was amazing. I feel so bad but I can't remember his name :-( Anyway this was a perfect first stop for our day of wine drinking. The tasting room was amazing and their wines were impressive. We purchased the most wine... More

Merryvale has a nice tasting room. Though prices are going up for tastings in Napa, for what Merryvale gives you..skip it. Wines they taste are good but you're better off trying a glass at a restaurant.

It is quite amazing, how five wine tasting flights are suffering from inflation almost everywhere in Napa and Sonoma. Tasted the basic flight, and the price for 5 wines was 30$. OK, not to complain the wines nor the professional presentation. But come on, promoting your wines for ad-hoc wine tourists for 30 bucks is close to robbery.

A local bar owner told me that this is the winery that you go to at the end of the day because it's open so late (6 pm). And the wine is a reflection of that. It's not bad but it's not that great either. That being said, the winery is a super chill place that one can relax for... More
