Description:

Guests who visit Spring Mountain Vineyard will experience its artisan wines...

Guests who visit Spring Mountain Vineyard will experience its artisan wines in settings of breathtaking beauty that reflect the history and ambience of a vineyard estate established in the 1880s. Its hillside terraces, historic caves and heirloom gardens still evoke an era when daily life was slow and tied to the land. SMV is family-owned, sustainably farmed and exclusively producing wines from its own vineyards on Spring Mountain in Napa Valley. Hallmarks of its wines are concentrated color and flavor, distinctive varietal intensity, supple tannins, bright acidity and longevity. Its signature wine is Elivette, a Bordeaux-style wine carefully blended for structure, elegance and aging potential. Four tastings are offered, each with different selections of wines, to give guests the option to choose the experience which best suits their interests. • the Tasting Only, a standing tasting featuring current releases (45- 60 minutes)• the Estate Tasting, a seated experience featuring current releases and one library/rare wine selection of Elivette, our signature Bordeaux-style blend (90 minutes)• the Library Vertical Tasting, a seated tasting featuring a vertical selection of Cabernet (90 minutes)• the Explore Elivette Tasting, our most exclusive tasting, featuring five vintages of Elivette (90 minutes)Tastings other than the Tasting Only are held in our historic wine caves, in garden settings or in the historic chandeliered Villa Miravalle (subject to availability) and include an informative, guided walk around the estate. Visits are by advance reservation only. Please also note that due to legal restrictions and for the safety and enjoyment of all guests, we request that all members of the party be at least 21 and we are not accompanied by pets.

Maybe I picked to wrong tour to buy - got there a few minutes early and was met by a very nice young lady with a glass of wine for me, saying that the tour will begin shortly. Sat down in the shade and drank the wine, 20 minutes after it was supposed to start, they came and got us.... More

Spent the afternoon on the winery with our family. The hospitality showed by the staff was nothing short of amazing. Wine was very nice & all varietals came with a lengthy and thorough explanation of the unique features of each. Can't recommend this place enough.

Wines were typical big mountain cabs- certainly good wines but a lot of similiar ones in area. Staff was much less personable than most wineries- other than person who did the tour/tastings the other staff membets walked by me several times like I wasn't even there- even the woman who is in charge. They catered way too much to those... More

This was our third visit to Spring Mountain. The property is breathtaking and the tour is fantastic. Our tour guid this time was Ish. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and funny. The wines are exceptional and this is one wine club that I would highly recommend joining .

I came here initially because growing up my family loved the show "Falcon Crest". It almost didn't make the itinerary as we had numerous places we wanted to visit. However, after talking with Spring Mountain's amazing Hospitality Manager, Lindsay, I decided this was definitely worth a trip there. We did the Estate Tour & Tasting with Rick. The grounds are... Not sure there is that much more to say! It is the one and ONLY wine club that we are a part of ...now for over a year. We look forward each time we open a bottle to their big bold cabs with the smoothest of finishes. Their grounds are the most beautiful and relaxing I have ever visited.

It was a beautiful warm day to sit sipping wine while looking at the incredible view. Reservations are required. We were early and unfortunately the others who had a reservation at the same appointment time were very late. Our host was very accommodating and brought us some bonus Chardonnay to taste while we waited. He also only charged us for... More

Our group had an amazing time visiting the valley. By far our favorite tasting was with Rick at Spring Mountain! I have been to Spring Mountain several times and it never disappoints! The wine is always superb. Our group loved Rick! He was so accommodating and gave such a fun, educational tasting! We are looking forward to tasting all our... More

Loved the view while doing our wine tasting outside. It is by appointment only and tastings start at $45 and up but if you buy a bottle and/or join their wine club the fee is waived. One of the more intimate and relaxing tastings we've enjoyed. Wines are wonderful.

The setting for Spring Mountain Vineyard is gorgeous and unique for a California winery...it is as though you are in Tuscany with a beautiful mansion, vineyards, shade trees, flower gardens and pathways. It was a beautiful day so the tasting was held outside under the shade of mature trees. Very relaxed and enjoyable. The wines are old world style and... More
