This winery is defianately Opulent, they spared no expense and built for tourist for sure. It is beatiful in its own way and don't let the extravaganza distract you from the great tour and wine education. You get to taste wines right out of the barrels ( inside their insane cave)aged in different type of them and get to do... More

The cave tour was a nice experience in that the tour leader was so informative about not just the wine but the process. So if you are a wine beginner or expert, you will appreciate his pov. The wine itself is very next nice, special actually, but don't expect wine store prices for this winery. Very proud of most of... More

Our concierge suggested we take this tour--the old caves--as we brought our 22 year old daughter here for her first wine country trip. We wanted her to have a cellar experience--this delivered! Our guide Annaliase was energetic and knowledgable. We tasted ten wines from the barrel and another 3 from the bottle. Our fellow tourgoers were a lot of fun... More

This place is about sales and opulence, with overly priced wines to match. We had Tim give us a tour that was fantastic. He was funny and knowledgeable. Only problem he was trying to sell snake oil to snakes. The wines were good but overpriced by 30-60%. Simply not worth the price. I wish this place well as Parker has... More

The Del Dotto cave tasting was recommended to us by some family members and since we were trying to do different types of tastings, this worked out well. We are big fans of big, bold red wines and Del Dotto more than delivered on that. We were greeted and given a glass of Sauvignon Blanc while we waited for the... More

If you're debating between their two locations, go to the Napa one. The natural caves are much more interesting than the this location. While the property itself is gorgeous and very well done, the experience is rather underwhelming for the price point.

Venetian styling to entry, lobby and building in general a bit over the top but beautiful non-the less. Very interesting tasting from the barrels and very generous pours tasting 8-10 wines with great information about each wine. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer and elaborate on every question. Did not feel rushed at all. At end... More

On your next trip to Napa make Del Dotto in St. Helena a stop on your list. The atmosphere as soon as you walk in makes you fell like you're in Italy. The staff was very accommodating and the cave tour was awesome. All of your tastings will come from the wine barrels in the cave. All of these wines... More

We stumbled upon this place after having lunch in St. Helena. You enter down underground, and what a surprise. The space is so beautiful with Italian marble on every inch of space. My husband and I had the $50 wine tasting that came with 7 different wines. We ended up buying 7 bottles of wine at the end (pinot noir,... More

We stumbled across this as the one we wanted to visit could not accommodate us. What a wonderful refreshing find. We went to their new St Helena facility which was just perfect from the moment we walked in. Our barrel wine tasting was very interesting and informative. Our guide was very patient in answering all our questions and discussions. After... More
