    Wonderful
We go to Hall every time we visit Napa/St. Helena. The winery is beautiful, the art is interesting and the people are friendly and knowledgeable. But the key is that their wine is absolutely the best. We love their cabs and cab blends. We have lots of Hall wines in our wine refrigerator at home, and we call them our "two bottle" wines. When the first bottle runs dry, we sigh and think that we could really drink a second bottle, no problem. We don't, of course, but we could! Their standard Napa Cab and Craig wines are excellent lower price wines, and we think that the 1873 cab strikes the best balance between quality and price. But all of their wines are absolutely terrific.

    Always nice to visit
I booked the tour/tasting by mistake. It was nice to hear about the history of Walt/Hall wines and about the art pieces, etc. What made this a 5-star review was Ron. Ron is entertaining, passionate and funny. The interaction between Ron, Jeff and Isaac leads me to believe they enjoy working at Hall. It’s nice to see happy employees. Also, Ron did my tasting last year when I decided to become a member. Keep Ron!! I always look forward to my member tastings at Hall. The outdoor member area is such a nice, relaxing place to be.

    Tour and tasting A+
It was such a nice treat to tour the vineyards and art. Our tour guide Brenda was absolutely amazing. She had us laughing and shared a great deal of knowledge. The wines were amazing and the cheese plate was a great accompaniment. I would go again in a heart beat.

HALL Worth the Time and Money
Fabulous Private Tasting and Tour of the grounds. Our hostess Angela welcomed us with a cold glass of sauvignon blanc and whisked us away to tour the beautiful gardens and facility. Hall has spent a considerable amount of time and money on the creative building designs and artwork throughout. Our Cabernet selections for tasting were diverse and superb! Highly recommend.

Amazing Cab and host at Hall!
My wine educator and guide, Tom Rice, took me through an amazing tasting of some of the best Cabernet I have ever tasted in Napa Valley! He was knowledgeable and down to earth host that I thoroughly enjoyed his company while tasting solo on my trip. I will definitely be inviting friends and go back to Hall! Usually I don’t return to the same wineries because there are so many to experience in the region of Napa and Sonoma. However, this one is the exception. There is also some beautiful artwork and the owners story and how dedicated to their craft is truly amazing.

    A grand place to visit
My husband and I had an enjoyable experience at the winery in a large part to Ron who was an excellent and knowledgeable guide! The wines were spectacular and the location and surroundings are just grand! We wish we lived closer to visit more often.

    Outstanding visit to Hall Winery
Hall exceeded our expectations for a winetasting and vineyard experience. The art is playful (especially the captions), the grounds exquisite and the wine excellent. Our host for the tasting at the bar was very knowledgeable, generous with the pours, and attentive. Doing side-by-side tastings of different vintages really helped us pick up differences we might otherwise have missed. We were fortunate to do a late morning, midweek visit when the winery wasn’t busy. After a good breakfast at our B&B (Cedar Grove in Napa), we had no problem with morning drinking!

    Hall winery tasting
We have been on several dozen wine tours, and our experience at Hall was one of the best. Colton Farley, our wine educator was extremely knowledgeable about both wines and the area. Also, the wines were excellent, and the wine club is a great value!

    Great Wine and Art!
Our visit to HALL St. Helena was my favorite! The wine was phenomenal and the tour was great to see the wonderful art on the property and learn about the history and wine making process at HALL. Our wine educator, Alfredo, was the best! He went above and beyond to make our experience special and was super knowledgeable about the wine and property at HALL. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely come back!

    Hall Wines is the best
Love Hall Wines. My favorite place. I am a member too. Different tastes of Cabernets for Different palates. My favorite are the Katheryn and Craigs. I don't think you will be disappointed. The Elle and Jack's Master piece and also superb. Service and hospitality are great there too.

Our experience from beginning to end was amazing! Our host, Joe-go was as fun and witty as he was knowledgeable about the wine and the process. we typically prefer smaller wineries because the bigger ones seem to move you through. this was not the case at Hall. we are thrilled to be members and look forward to returning next time we are in napa!

My wife and I make an annual pilgrimage to Napa and have visited many very good wineries...all have been good experiences. Hall actually took it up a notch. Our host, Rigo, unexpectedly, took us on a tour of the property and for the first time ever, we tasted the grapes off the vines!!! For some reason we always felt that was forbidden. Rigo gave us the most informative tour and shared his knowledge of the process, the industry and his personal experiences. In addition, he shared more varieties of wines than we expected, and when I said I couldn't remember the taste of one, he brought it back for another comparative sample. He made it a wonderful experience! And, of course, the Hall wines, particularly the Kathryn Hall were fabulous!

Definitely do the tour! It's a really good value, a lot of other wineries will charge a lot more for that kind of tasting & tour. JJ was awesome, provided great information about HALL, Napa and Craig & Kathryn. Great history here, love the art influence, and some true Napa style cabs. Lots of discussion around how the wines are produced, including a video, and then the tasting was concluded in a private room which was really nice. Thoroughly enjoyed all the wines, and felt we were given a good representation of their entire portfolio. At the conclusion, JJ gave us some great recommendations as well. Would definitely return!

I came into Hall a bit hesitant because it seemed like a highly trafficked place with perhaps some gimmicky art outside to pull unsuspecting tourists in. I'm sure everyone who has come to Napa has seen the huge bunny on the main highway through the Valley. Overall it wasn't so bad, but it wasn't the best winery I visited on this trip either.

The tasting room has a bit of a weird setup. It's more like a bar and less like a winery if that makes sense. Inside it's standing room only, but they have some seating on the outside patio (although it's limited and fills up quick). We were there in the afternoon and sat outside but the sun was at a bit of an annoying angle (right in our face) and because the building is fully glass and highly reflective there was no escaping the glare.

As for the tasting, it's $60 but they give you a good amount of wine. It's 6 wines total, and they're all Napa Cab which is pricey. I wasn't really impressed by most of the wines, I felt they were all overpriced. But, when we got to the last one, the Kathryn Hall, I was impressed. That's probably the best Cab I've ever had, but at $225 I wasn't taking a bottle home.

I went to 9 different wineries on this trip and this is the only place I did not buy bottles at because I thought they were all overpriced. To be fair almost all Napa Cab is overpriced, and their tasting is all Napa Cabs so in some sense it's expected. But there's so many other wines I'd rather buy at $80 than their lower end Cabs, and I've tasted other Cabs at $30-40 (not from Napa) that were as good as these.

Also, note that because this tasting is all Cabs, and they're all higher alcohol wines, you're probably going to walk out of here pretty buzzed. So get a designated driver :)

I want to try the Kathryn Hall again sometime in the future, but other than that I'm not interested in revisiting this winery.

This place literally laughs in the face of my God with their camel statue staring down the eye of a needle at their front entrance. The arrogant tour guide explained that "if heaven is harder to get into than a camel through the eye of a needle, then the wealthy owners of this place say f@&k it!" They literally made a mockery of a scripture they don't understand. This had me disinterested in the experience from the get go. The grounds are beautiful and the wine tasted great...but the visit was tainted by the offense.

Unfortunately this tour was rushed, impersonal & generic, and made our group feel as though we were an inconvenience to the wine tour guide. The communication style was perfunctory and hard to understand most of the time due to rushed speech. The way the tour is structured you're made to feel as though it's been done 1,000 times and "next in line" is the overall attitude. There are so many beautiful tours and wineries in this area and while the grounds and architecture are immaculate and interesting, we won't be returning or recommending this tour.

I am proud to be a wine club member. This trip, my sister and I were well taken care of Ray Williams and Jasmine Choy. Ray and Jasmine are extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the wines and provided us with exceptional experiences. They knew my sister's birthday is today and made it a point to acknowledge it. We truly felt special. And of course the wines are the best that we had in Napa Valley. We have traveled the world and rarely re-visit a place, but we will be coming back year after year. Thank you, Hall! We love you!

Great time at Hall Winery, had one other couple who we met at the winery on our tour and tasting. Fonzie was very friendly and told great stories about the family, wines and the artwork. Had a great conversation at our wine tasting table.

Our favorite winery for many reasons, this is maybe our third trip to HALL? This time we did a seasonal special tasting where we were able to try a vertical of Kathryn Hall Cab Sav. Our host was so knowledgeable and patient as we asked a whole bunch of questions and learned a lot! We also enjoy the property in general… as they have so many fun art pieces and installations to appreciate. We love their cabs, they’re consistently our favorites.

We also love Pinot Noirs from their sister brand Walt.

The Hall Winery location in St. Helena is simply magnificent. The Cabernet Celebration is a one of a kind experience that Rigo, our host, was absolutely fantastic. The entire property is beautiful, inviting and add that to the beautiful wines that Hall consistently produces--a memory that you won't forget.
