What a fun place! I took my 3 year old niece to Fairytale Town last weekend and she had a blast.

Special favorites were the Big Red Shoe slide and the animals!

We found it the hard way. Nowhere that we found the information stating you can't come in if you don't have kids with you. We got to the gate and were turned away. I understood the idea, but that was the first time I saw such a thing. I do not agree with the whole idea though, but oh well...

I think most would agree that fairytale town is a great place. I live in Sacramento, grew up here, so I went there many times as a child. My first experience was at the age of 5....my parents rented out the castle that stands at the entrance for my birthday party! I got to wear a crown, and was treated like a princess. The staff who hosts the party were always fun. I love the story about the rocks that adorn the walls. They told me and my friends that the if we pulled on the rocks we might find one that moves and itd open a secret door that leads to a treasure guarded by a dragon! It was great! After my party i got to run around with my friends. There are many slides, a puppet show, and animals.
I havent been to fairytale town in awhile, but if i have children ill take them! I especially remember a slide in the shape of show, a cement twisty thing you could run on, and a barnhouse slide....but i loved the animals too! I remember pigs who were "the three little pigs" and tortoises...the great big ones that i havent seen anywhere else. Oh yes, and there is a pirate ship you can climb all around on, a big slice of cheese with holes in it so you can climb through and on. It was great fun, and ill never forget it.

Things to climb, bridges to cross, a castle, familiar stories and characters. Kids’ imaginations take care of the rest.

I took my 3 kids ages 13,7, and 4. This park is for under the age of 5. My two older ran through it and we're done in 30 mins. I think it quite silly for adults and kids over 10 to be charged because they will not be doing anything other than watching. Also there is a water feature that goes around the park and it was drained, disappointing!

My little ones loves it here. Not much to do, but it's okay to just come out and walk around. There are some rides you can do, and a castle to look around in and out.

Brought my 5 and 2 year old grandkids plus parents. Cheap admission fees and great play areas. Park could use a good scrubbing and update paint but kids loved it. Easy to keep an eye on the toddlers when they are playing in the numerous play structures. Food choices not great so be sure to bring your own food/drinks to enjoy outside the park. Easy parking.

I don't have kids, so I had not been to Fairytale Town even thought I've lived in Sacramento for decades. I am so sad I haven't been before, because it's charming and smart and fun! Barnyard animals? Check. A garden which allows for a conversation about healthy foods and how plants go? Check. Shaded places for snacks and meals? Check. A crooked mile that was actually way more challenging than I thought it would be? That, too. Luckily I had my trusted friend Holden to help me maneuver around the mile. Kids bonded immediately with each other, no one was shoving or screaming, it was really idyllic. Considering it is right on Land Park Drive, it is also very serene and lovely. I can't wait to go back!
