We went there with our 3 1/2 year old grandson, who for the most part enjoyed it very much. There are trees for shade, a few animals throughout.

Compared to the Fairyland park in Oakland, this place was disappointing. The entry cost is low ( $6 per person on holiday weekend) and parking is free, but there is very little for the kids to do except slide down slides. They did have some...More

I have been going to Fairy Tale town for over 40 years, myself as a kid, my kid...everyone. It is a little funky but still fun and a wholesome way to spend a day with young children

I took my grandson to Fairytale Town and enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere and things to see and do as much as my grandson. This is a wonderful place for children to have fun and explore.

A nice park to stroll around with todlers. My two kids ages 5 and 7 were a bit too old for this place and were bored. But smaller kids will sure love this place.

Are the roads suitable for a 25ft RV - Bodie and Oatman, (20 Replies)
G'day, My wife and three kids are coming over from Aus late August for 5 weeks driving a loop from LA up Hwy 1 to San Fran, onto Reno, down to Lake Tahoe and Yosemite. Then Vegas to Kingman to pick up the path of Route 66 back to Victorville before heading into Santa Monica via Acton. Were have been reading a truck-load of info about this trip and have become cautious about two legs of the trip. The road into Bodie and the road into Oatman. Has anyone had any experience driving an RV...More

The road to Bodie (SR 270 from 395) is 12-13 miles (about 20 km). It is not especially steep or twisty, so I don't think 25' would be an issue. The last couple miles are unpaved and are pretty rough gravel. Regular cars driven carefully usually do fine. You would want to take it easy to prevent flat tires or suspension damage. The Oatman road is very steep and curvy. It dates from the 1930s, when it was part of old Route 66 and migrants going from the flat, low-elevation Dust Bowl of...More
