- FMLY-TRVL8 contributionsGrandma and grandsonNice place to get energy out. inexpensive except for food, $5 for soft pretzels is over charging! Be ready to follow children on/around play structures. Ladders for slides very tall and some places have big drop offs for kids that are not real stable on feet. Animals are untouchable. So grandma got good workout too....lolVisited January 2020Traveled with familyWritten February 1, 2020
- Rix M1 contributionWonderful memories!!My mother used to bring me here when I was 5. I'm 65 now! I remember there was an owl in a cage in the tree house slide. There were large Galapagos tortoises at the park. From the photos it has some of the same features. The large concrete rabbit, the crooked mile, the shoe slide. I'm glad to see it's still there after all these years!!Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten August 13, 2023
- Diana MAumsville, Oregon16 contributionsOur toddler & preschooler loved thisThe park was cute, clean, & in good repair. There were many activities for the kids and areas to plays. Our grand daughter is 2 1/2. Her favorite thing seemed to be the slides. Our 5 y.o. grandson loved the trains. There's an extra key you can rent to hear stories & other info in several locations. Some of them didn't work & others were poor recording quality or just not interesting. So we wouldn't do that part again, but we would go & play again! Fairytale Town is in a large park with picnic tables & grill pits.Visited March 2023Traveled with familyWritten March 25, 2023

- Khoa VSacramento, California73 contributionsOnly for children!! No Alone Adults allowedWe found it the hard way. Nowhere that we found the information stating you can't come in if you don't have kids with you. We got to the gate and were turned away. I understood the idea, but that was the first time I saw such a thing. I do not agree with the whole idea though, but oh well...Visited August 2015Traveled as a coupleWritten August 17, 2015

- IhaveatonofcatsSacramento, California304 contributionsFairytaleI think most would agree that fairytale town is a great place. I live in Sacramento, grew up here, so I went there many times as a child. My first experience was at the age of 5....my parents rented out the castle that stands at the entrance for my birthday party! I got to wear a crown, and was treated like a princess. The staff who hosts the party were always fun. I love the story about the rocks that adorn the walls. They told me and my friends that the if we pulled on the rocks we might find one that moves and itd open a secret door that leads to a treasure guarded by a dragon! It was great! After my party i got to run around with my friends. There are many slides, a puppet show, and animals. I havent been to fairytale town in awhile, but if i have children ill take them! I especially remember a slide in the shape of show, a cement twisty thing you could run on, and a barnhouse slide....but i loved the animals too! I remember pigs who were "the three little pigs" and tortoises...the great big ones that i havent seen anywhere else. Oh yes, and there is a pirate ship you can climb all around on, a big slice of cheese with holes in it so you can climb through and on. It was great fun, and ill never forget it.Written January 13, 2005

- funplaceGridley, California216 contributionsPricey for a park! Adults are charged to go in tooI took my 3 kids ages 13,7, and 4. This park is for under the age of 5. My two older ran through it and we're done in 30 mins. I think it quite silly for adults and kids over 10 to be charged because they will not be doing anything other than watching. Also there is a water feature that goes around the park and it was drained, disappointing!Visited July 2015Written July 24, 2015

What is the age range for children at Fairytale town?
TravelingDad84
McDonough, GA496 contributions
It’s mostly for younger kids. I’d say 3-10. I took my 10 and 13 year old Christmas Eve when it was free and they had fun. 13 year old didn’t want to do some of the things cause he felt too old.

how long should you plan for a visit
CaliforniaCruizen
Monterey County, CA87 contributions
Around 3 hours- it is surrounded by a lovely park (with free picnic tables) so you could pack a picnic for when you are done. This park is also where the zoo and mini-rollercoaster park is located if you wanted to spend a whole day you could just plan on visiting one of those first and end at the more laid back Fairy Tale Town.
