This place is very nice. Went on a quiet day. Not many people so made it better. Neat stuff full of California history to see. And best of all its free! Take a walk in the garden if its not too hot.

We had visitors come from out of town and when we asked what they wanted to see this was one of the options. We had such a good time. I can't wait to go back.

I love the Capitol Building. it has been restored and is Beautiful. the guides are very well informed. I likes the portrait gallery and the hall of the Counties, Many people miss the Moon tree outside the North Entrance to the building. This tree actually went to the moon in 1976.

I went there with my grandson, and the tour, which was free, had a wonderful guide who was very knowledgeable. The picture of Arnold and Jerry Brown's first really stood out

The Capitol Building was completely gutted to four walls in the 1970s and painstakingly reconstructed by artisans. The craft of the wood and design of the ceilings, etc. is simply gorgeous. The wood stairs reflect back to the German and Austrian artisans of the early 1900s. The artisans in the 1970 recreated lost "cake decorating" designs on the ceilings and... More
