Stopped by on our way home during out Christmas vacation and absolutely breathtaking. There was a beautifully decorated Christmas tree outside, families were outside singing, taking pictures and enjoying the last few days of 2016.

This was very interesting to visit. I liked how one corridor had a display for each county showing the unique aspects of that particular region. While the portraits of past governors were nice to look at, I rather enjoyed the statue of Ronald Reagan, as I recall the highlights of his term. The museum is essentially scattered through the entire... More

The capitol and surroundings are a must see that is well worth a visit. We enjoyed touring the building which is magnificent. So historic and informative of California history. The grounds are equally beautiful recommended

We visited the capitol on December 28 with four adults and six kids ranging in age from 7 to 15. I am so glad we took the tour. Eric, the tour guide, was very informative. He took us to places in the capitol that I definitely wouldn't have felt comfortable going by myself, like the senate chamber, even though they... More

We visited the capitol of California. Its a pretty building. Since it was December, they also had a Menorah and a beautiful Christmas tree in front of the capitol building. We have visited the capitol several times.

They appear to leave the capital open to support your own self guided walking tour. It's a cool place to visit.

A definite must see when in Sacramento. Thoroughly enjoyed the free tour and the guide was very knowledgeable and informative. Had the opportunity to see both the Senate & House chambers. The Capitol has just finished with a $70 million dollar remodel and it is quite a sight to see.
