Great theatre where classics and other highly regarded movies can be seen. Went with a group of six people, had wine, popcorn and watched a great movie in a very comfortable atmosphere. This is an older theatre that is spacious and just fun to attend events. My wife and I have also seen Frany Moreno, Warren Miller Films and others... More

I've been here for a few concerts and love the place. It's just the right size (700-800 capacity?), and has the ambiance I enjoy - quirky, comfy and with decent acoustics. With a new athletic and event venue being built a few blocks west, things only stand to get busier for the Crest because of the foot traffic that will... More

Years ago the Crest underwent an extensive remodeling and it remains in our opinion, the last great old historic style theatres in Sacramento. The Tower Theatre is another one but it is a shadow of what it was decades ago. The Crest is a real treat and takes you back to the old days. They still host lectures, film festival,... More

Attended "The Blues Brothers Official Review" in this intimate theater and the evening was entertaining for both the eyes and the ears.

Watched Johnny Lang, John Hiatt and Lyle Lovette plus many others in this venue. Never remember it being anything but delightful. Even waiting to use the restrooms is a pleasant experience. Just adore the Crest Theater and everything it stands for in this wonderful city.

I remember going to the Crest as a child for movies; now it doubles for other fabulous events such as the recent LL concert I attended. It's been maintained beautifully; love these old school theaters. Just the right (read intimate) size. Acoustics were great, and I don't believe there is a bad seat anywhere. It's centrally located to some really... More

If you are an old movie theater buff, you may enjoy the Crest. It is a beauty! Restored, it has that ol' movie theater feel....like walking back into another era. Nostalgia!

Very nice architecture. Feels like a Romanesque cave! It's an active little spot with lovely cocktails and desserts. We'll be back!
