Just took my wife and another couple to see Wicked. I was excited because I got box seats in row A of the second tier. $85 apiece. Well we sit down and the chair rail is dead center of our field of view, blocking the play. I asked for cushion as just a few more inches could at least bring to the bar down to where the orchestra is... but no and not even a polite, sorry about that (sucker).
As for Wicked, the show was amazing, I highly recommend seeing it. Just in another row.

My husband and I had attended concerts at the Sacramento Convention Center. The staff is very polite and well-mannered.

I must say I havent been to a large amount of theatres, however, i do think the community center theatre must be a good one. It is very clean. I always go there for their annual showing of the Nutcracker. Just know that the place is nice, located well, and provides very nice comfortable seating for performances.

Attended the Educating for Careers Conference in early March 2019. The conference facilities are average. Location of the conference is close to the state capital, close enough to go see quickly between sessions. The conference facilities are big enough where one would have to walk a distance, but nothing too crazy.

We have seen probably 20 shows at this venue in the last ten years. Our seats have been 2nd tier nosebleed sections, orchestra front and center, box seats, and the rear seats of orchestra, and our conclusion is there's not a bad seat.
Acoustics are excellent. It is a beautiful building and easily accessible with physical limitations. Restrooms are on two floors; wine is served, and other non alcoholic refreshments; and parking is plentiful in garages on two sides.
It's a great place.

The Sacramento Convention Center was host to about 1000 dancers and their families the weekend of 11/19 thru 11/21. The spaces offered were large enough and the venue was clean. The staff were helpful if asked a question. However, the limited food choices were a problem. Offered were Wolfgang Puck Express, Starbucks, and a snack bar. There were multiple signs posted regarding the bringing in of outside food/beverages and the staff were prepared to defend them. This venue was not accomodating to dancers and their families that needed to be watching the competition not standing in huge long lines or leaving the venue in search of food and eating it somewhere else.

It’s ok. Clean and well maintained it seems. Nothing special to recommend it or to be concerned about. Many of the local businesses around it or closed so it’s not easy to find places to eat.

I have only been to the Easy Rider Show here, but it has been a positive experience every time. If I get a chance to attend something else here that interest me I will. Also there is a lot of parking and cool places to eat nearby.

Sacramento Convention Center, and the surrounding area, are not as confusing as may appear from the freeway and surrounding streets. Well marked with good public access.
