It's a Zoo, You know where the animals live

Yea that's right, it's a zoo. It's not a wild animal park like the one in San Diego, and it's probably not the size of the Bronx or Los Angeles Zoo either, but it has PLENTY to... read more

Some cities are known for their wonderful zoos. Sacramento's zoo is nice and seems humane but we didn't see anything special or noteworthy. Unless you are opposed to zoos (and theere might be good reasons for that), I suppose it's better that Sacramento has a zoo than not but just think of it as a placeholder for when you've run... You can feed a giraffe here for a fee of $3. It is super cool to be so close to this magnificent animal. The zoo has viewing windows to watch any operations that are being done on the animals. The zoo is easily walkable, The very large anteater is an animal I have not seen before.

Yea that's right, it's a zoo. It's not a wild animal park like the one in San Diego, and it's probably not the size of the Bronx or Los Angeles Zoo either, but it has PLENTY to see. They let you feed the Giraffe during feeding hours, and they have a great Monkey area to watch them swing and eat...... More

There is no comparison with other big zoos. San Francisco. San Diego. Etc. Though the zoo itself isn't fantastic, and it is rather small, it's nice to be able to take little kids (under 8) to both this place and Fairie Tale Town across the street, then enjoy a nice picnic in the regional park they are both set in.

It's a nice little zoo, inconstent enclosures - some very nice, others a bit antiquated. It is a pleasant place to spend a couple of hours, but not a marquis attraction for the city. The surrounding park is a great place to enjoy a picnic lunch before or after your zoo visit.

What a great zoo. Nice snack bar. Buying the reusable cup makes refills reasonable. Nice break from the heat. Cute gift shop. Across street is fairytown land, we call it humpty dumpy land. Kids love the whole area.

This Zoo is only 14 acres in size, so don't expect a lot! But what is there is nicely done, The volunteers are very friendly, and are very anxious to provide details on the animals, and exhibits,If you take your time, two hours is more then enough to cover everything. The price of admission is reasonable.

Visiting Sacramento Zoo is very entertaining and relaxing. Once you are in the Zoo, you'll notice the different kinds of wild animals. There are rare and endangered animals from Reptiles to Mammals, Birds to Amphibians and more. Don't miss visiting the Sacramento Zoo when you are in Sacramento.

The zoo is always a good time. It's kinda small and doesn't have as many animals as I remember but still fun for the family.

I was elected to take my two kids and my sister three to the Sacramento zoo. I had never been there before and was kind of expecting something a little bit more like the bigger more affluent San Fransico zoo. But it wasnt and i soon found myself in a dirty environment which soon became a tiring day. The kids... More
