The Inglenook legacy began in 1879 when Gustave Niebaum, a Finnish sea captain, wine connoisseur and entrepreneur, came to Rutherford to build a wine estate that would rival Europe's finest. When Niebaum's grandnephew, John Daniel, Jr. inherited the chateau and vineyards in the 1930s, Inglenook had already earned international acclaim. Francis and Eleanor Coppola purchased the property in 1975 and have spent forty years reuniting the original vineyards, returning winemaking operations to the chateau, and restoring Inglenook's illustrious heritage with the help of renowned wine consultant Stephane Derenoncourt and Managing Director and Winemaker Philippe Bascaules. In honor of this estate and its historical significance, we have restored the name, Inglenook.

The location was really elegant and amazing. All the staff was kind and happy to help people choosing wines and pairings. It was very interesting to see old vintages in the cellars, divided by dates. The bistro was fine and the landscape really nice! Hope to come back soon

We took the tour which ran $50 per person. We saw several parts of the winery and ended with a tasting of several wines in a private room. We had an great tour guide and the wine selection was excellent. Inglenook is as good as any other of the nine wineries we visited during our Napa/Sonoma trip.

We had a phenomenal time at Inglenook. My husband and I agreed it was not only our favorite winery of our trip, but also our favorite wine, both red and white (Rubicon and Blancaneaux, respectively). Our tour with Harold was not only informative, but we absolutely loved him! He has such a great energy, we felt lucky to have him... More

I live in Napa Valley, so my wife and I frequently visit our beautiful wineries. We used to belong to Inglenook Wine Club, but dropped it after several unsatisfactory visits. We had made reservations on 3 occasions and when we arrived at the appointed time, we were told they didn't have a reservation in our name. Recently we decided to... More

We had an exquisit tasting of 5 flights of Rubicon paired with chesse, meat, etc. and itt was absolutely awesome. We had David speak to us about each of the different years and the strengths and weaknesses that the years weather/growing season provided. Vey fun and very educational. Well worth the money.

This winery is formerly the Niebaum Coppola estate. I have to say I was very sad to see that it is now Inglenook. The grounds and estate are not as impressive as it used to be, and most of the memorabilia has been moved to a winery in Sonoma. What used to be the tasting room (which part of it... More

We were a group of 6 and had a wonderful time at Inglenook. We absolutely loved the tour and the history of the name and family. We were pleasantly surprised with all the wines we tasted. If you are new to Napa and want to experience some true history both Inglenook and Mondavi are must visits!

The minute we checked in we were seated in a grand tasting room full of history that felt like you were seated in a French Chateau. Juan Pablo was our host. He was full of personality and great knowledge of the Coppola Family and of wine in general! The wine was excellent and were pleasantly surprised by the value of... More

We went to 8 vineyard tours and tasting and by far Molly was our best tour guide we had. She knew everything we ask and was so much fun! The grounds were absolutely beautiful and the tasting was awesome.
