I had asked a wine consultant which winery would he visit if he only have one to choose for the wine; he suggested Pina. We had driven by it numerous times but the appearance never compelled us to visit. The Pina tasting room is really a storage area with a small table, with glasses and wine. Our expectation was minimal.... More

Beautiful red wines from a family operated winery. Simple tasting room with no bells and whistles like you would expect from other wineries of Silverado trail. Trust me, the reds are outstanding.

No glitz, no lawn, or bloated expression of wealth. Just a simple barrel room with one stunning wine after the other. Simply presented so you can make your own decision with out pressure, or distracted by fluff. Always one of my fav stops. Can get crazy busy so get your pour, taste think and move on. Love them.

Out of the 4 wineries visited this was our least favorite in terms of wine and ambience but the lady who was serving was very funny so it scores an average score. Would not go out of your way to go there.

This is a hidden gem... the wines are delicious! If you simply want great Cab's stop in for a taste. They are on the higher side price wise, but the quality and history is great!

We were disappointed. There is potential here being a multi generation winery and some good tasting red wines. However their presentation just does not compare to many of the other wineries in the valley. The tasting room is very small in the wine storage area. The bathroom is dirty. The hosts argued in front of us. Their is not much... More

Well a serious flat tire brought us to this little unexpected Gem of a tasting room. We were greeted by a lovely gal who was easily managing the crowded tasting room. She delighted us in a variety of whites to reds with an emphasis on their reds. But to my surprise, I really like TAPS, this was a sweet Cab... More

It amazes me that this place doesn't require an appointment because the tasting room is so small that even 6 guests make it feel crowded. The tasting room is really just in the chilly barrel room so you get a nice ambiance (but bring a sweater, it's cold in there)! If you like big red wines, you should try to... More

We visited Pina since it was off-the-beaten path. Pina is very small, and the tasting room is really more of a storage area than an official tasting room. While we enjoyed the charm of the smaller winery, there wasn't enough space to accommodate all of the tasters. The two servers also seemed either really flighty or half-inebriated. Pina is a... One of my favorite wineries in the valley. Their cabs rock! And I've had the really REALLY expensive cabs in the valley but, Pina's cabernet's are as good, if not better, at a quarter of the price. If you're looking for a tour, or your in a large party or you're looking for a fancy winery, this place is probably... More
