We did not do a tour or tasting. We stopped by in between vineyards for an impromptu visit. We had our own lunch. We bought a bottle there and ate a fabulous picnic lunch overlooking the valley. The views are great up there. We went in July so it was probably easier to do this. Highly recommend in the offseason... More

My friend and I visited Rutherford Hill on a warm day in June. It was great to sit outside. I really like our docent, Darlene. She offered to pour for us outside so we did not have to get up and trot back and forth from the wine bar to the patio. We took our time and did not feel... More

Our first wine tour, so we don't have comparison data (yet). The hour-long tour--which was mostly in the very dramatic caves where the wines are aged--included lots of interesting information about the process of wine making, the characteristics of various grapes, even the toasting of the barrels. (Not joking about that.) Be prepared for an unabashed upsell at the end:... More

Definitely worth stopping in for a wine tour (not just a tasting!). Pretty views from the property & VERY knowledgable & friendly staff. Jimmie, our tour guide, was awesome!

I'm not crazy about their wines but their buildings and grounds are worth a visit. Landscaping around the tasting room is colorful with many rose bushes.

We visited on a Sunday. Bottom line, there are a lot of other wineries with better wines to visit in the area. This winery has not received any awards since 2007.

We had a large group reception out on the lawn with wine tasting and snacks. Then we had a sit down dinner in a beautiful wine cellar with a beautifully set table and flowers, classical guitarist and more wonderful food and wine. Our food and service was excellent. It was a memorable event.

This was another one of our good choices on the wine "trail". The caves were very interesting and the "party" room in the caves was worth the visit by itself. The wines are good, but probably not the best we had on our "tasting" trip. Barrel tasting in the caves was great fun.

Who could argue with beautiful vineyards spread out below you, olive tree groves and inviting caves full of amazing wine! Our visit included the Cave Tour and Tasting. I highly recommend as the guides are knowledgeable, love to answer questions and certainly know and enjoy their wines. The tour is a very good value for the money. On a previous... More

This is an okay wine tasting. My husband highly prefers Cabernet wines. I chose this winery based on their reds selection and neither of us were very impressed. The winery is pretty and the view is lovely, but I think our highlights end there. Darlene was our pourer and she was a bit rude to the party next to us... More
