One of Napa's long time family owned winery

The wines and tour are wonderful but the treasure it that it was started by Jack and Dolores years ago and still a family owned winery. I was lucky to get a Dancing Bear Cab... read more

my wife and I had the food wine pairing and it was such an incredible experience. the chardonnay and cab are exquisite and the way they paired such great tastings with the exact wines was fabulous.

The wines were great. The education and staff were even better. Reservations required but for $15, the standard tasting was great.

Cakebread has always been one of our favorite wines. We made a reservation to taste the current release. Jo, our host, was very personable and knowledgeable. Tasted 6 wines for $15 per person, and learned a lot about wine-making in general and at Cakebread in particular. Very nice grounds. Definitely worth a visit.

While my husband and I have long loved wine, we are new to Napa and wine tasting. Greg was amazing, hilarious and informative! More than that, the wine was excellent! I'm not a Chardonnay fan, but both options presented were very "yummy" with citrusy flavored vs the oak business that many will produce. Although they specialize in white, their red... More

Great winery, love their wines. We always do the tasting when we are on the mainland and are never disappointed. They have a great gift shop and their staff is very knowledgeable. The founder was actually a pretty accomplished photographer, so there are a lot of really cool super old photos of Napa and the Bay Area on the walls.... More

We had a charming, enthusiastic wine hostess for this tasting, and the wines we tasted were really special. I enjoyed learning about the family behind this winery.

We had an exceptional tour and tasting with Greg. Without a doubt, this was our best winery experience this past weekend (out of 8 winery tours/tastings - all high end wineries). Greg was remarkable in terms of his knowledge of the industry, Napa's history, and Calebread's terroir and wine making process. Truly a privilege to spend an hour and a... More

I've had Cakebread's red wines several times out here on the East Coast, but they're not easy to find unless you visit certain restaurants that serve them. Actually going there to try their wines is a real treat. Our host was excellent...entertaining and knowledgeable. The wines were superb...all of them (we tried all the reds). If i wasn't already a...
