Grgich Hills Estate is an iconic Napa Valley winery, consistently producing world-class wines. Vintner Hall of Fame inductee Miljenko "Mike" Grgich first earned world-wide recognition when the Chardonnay he crafted won the 1976 Paris Tasting, beating the best of France. Mike then partnered with Austin Hills to open their family-owned-and-operated winery in 1977. Committed to natural winegrowing and sustainability, we farm our five estate vineyards without artificial fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides, rely on wild yeast fermentation and use our passion and art to handcraft food-friendly, balanced and elegant wines.

Absolute fantastic experience. Myles, Paul and Gustavo treated my wife and I to an educational and tasting experience beyond compare. If it is made with grapes and has alcohol you have found the right spot. Reds, whites, oh my!

This was the first stop on our trip. We had so much fun stomping grapes and tasting wine. The staff was wonderful. The stomping ticket included wine a time shirt with our grape juice foot print and reusable plastic wine cup. The value is great. Worth a stop.

Booked day of. Was a grape to glass experience. Saw the grapes getting processed directly from the field. Had tour of keg rooms. Tour guide very knowledgeable and personable. At end had the opportunity to stomp grapes with our feet.......so much fun. Foot print went onto back of memorable tshirt. Worth every moment.

Booked a tasting since my wife loves the Chardonnay. It was $ 50 per person but included cheese pairing. Great time. Staff was friendly. The area was quiet and relaxing. Spent 1 1/2 hours. Highly recommend. Do not recommend the general tasting room. Crowded loud. Great family run winery.

Have bought their wine in restaurants for years, finally got to visit and was not disappointed. Mike's story is a great American success story. Met some family members on the tour, and tasted and by bought some great wine.

This winery was recommend by a friend of ours who is a wine connoisseur. Now we see why, because the wine was good, but the tasting experience and winery itself were nothing special. Depending on what you're looking for, this may or may not be worth a stop. The service was very good. We had a 2 for 1 tasting... More

I have always wanted to stomp grapes and this is one winery that offers the opportunity. It is kinda cheesy, but I wanted to and now I can say I have stomped grapes.

We visited this winery on a trip to Napa. We were lucky to have Maya as our guide. She was sweet and personable! And I love the story behind the winery! True "American" story of hard working emigrant who grew a very successful family business. And this winery is also one of they few organic wineries. But it does not... More

Nice winery with a very professional tour system and very knowledgeable staff. Wine is ok and they spend ally of time talking about the lifeboat the owner.

Dear Anthony A., We appreciate your visit and taking the time to review us on TripAdvisor. We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the tour but we’re not sure why your title for our review is “Commercial.” Yes, we are a commercial winery, as is every winery in the Napa Valley. This is not a hobby for us but an avocation... More
