Very disappointed... We were trying to overlook the fact that we had a view of the parking lot. We tried their wines, but the only one we felt that was worthy enough to buy was their dessert wine. We talked about how the tasting would be waived because of our $300+ order. I look today and see I'm still charged for the tasting. This is pretty untraditional. After visiting multiple wineries, the standard is you get a free tasting if you buy their wines. Because of this standard, we should have been corrected in our discussion with our hostess. I definitely feel tricked...

What I loved about Honig was that they were ready for us and we felt welcomed. The grounds were beautiful and it was so peaceful the day of our tasting. It was not too crowded so it was nice and peaceful. We did their standard tasting and they gave us tasting of some additional wines as well. Would highly recommend if you’re wanting a smaller more quaint vineyard!

We were looking forward to our trip here as I am sure the wine is great. On our way, on our anniversary, our child got sick and was throwing up. We had to turn around and head back to our hotel.
We called Honig, they said sorry- but tasting is non refundable. We explained the situation to them and they decided to not refund our money. They took our money for nothing. ($80.00) We would’ve made it if we could. Anyone who would do this to family traveling with a sick 9yo is just terrible.
I feel sorry for you. Keep my money and use it to buy some common decency.

Our group loved this wine tasting! The wines were excellent and we ordered a bunch to be sent back to Ohio. They have half bottles, too! They sell honey, chocolate, and other souvenirs, too. As far as the tasting itself, it was fine. Our host didn't go into a lot of detail about the wines or the vineyard, but it was okay because we loved the wine so much. My 18 year old daughter was allowed to accompany us, and she really liked the chocolate. Overall, would visit again to taste new wines. It was relaxing to sit outside and enjoy the weather and the view. They don't have a lot of gardens or anything to explore, but we still enjoyed the experience. If I join a club, there's a good chance it will be this one.

My wife and I had a great tasting experience at Honig Winery. Our host, Kelly, was very personable and we had a great time talking through the tasting with her. There was no purchase pressure during our tasting and the atmosphere was very relaxing. We enjoyed each wine we tried and we will definitely be returning during future visits to the area.

We had a delightful visit at Honig today and enjoyed a very nice selection of Cabernet Sauvignons and Cabernet-dominant blends. They also have a wonderful Sauvignon Blanc Reserve. Our host Ron was very friendly, and experienced. He answered all of our questions and gave us plenty of space to enjoy the experience. We will return!

We arrived and were immediately seated with a welcoming Black Board with our name. We then got to taste the various wines which were excellent. We weren't rushed and had a lovely conversation with the young lady and even found out that her husband had a small cellar in Sonoma. Our Favorite win was there Pink, which is a Rose made with Cabernet grapes(not routine) and bought two bottles one for us and one for our daughter who loves Rose. Small, friendly and highly recommended for a tasting.

Hi David! Thanks so much for visiting our family, and for writing such a nice review. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your visit with us, and our wines. Sounds like you tasted with Jenny. She's such a gem and we're lucky to have her. We know there are many wineries to visit here in the Napa Valley, and we are so glad you chose to spend some time with us. Hope to see you again soon!

Honig winery was small and welcoming with outside seating in a courtyard surrounded by grape vines, the parking lot and a road. Debbie welcomed us and began telling us about their wines. Saviyon Blanc was our favorite of this winery. Debbie seemed a little tired but overall pleasant. Not sure I would suggest to friends.

This was the third winery of the day.... we loved the patio where we sat. Was a beautiful day so enjoyed the view. The wine was good not our favorite, but as I said we had been to three already in the day so could have been our palettes weren’t fresh. They do have a very nice dessert wine.
We ended up not buying any bottles so we paid for our tasting and much to our surprise she brought out a bag for us- which included two wine glasses and two cork key chains! That made the experience lots better as it showed the detail to customer service and wanting the guests to have a memorable experience. We certainly will remember Honig for years to come!

We had a wonderful experience with Patrick. We chose the intimate upscale tasting in a private room. Patrick educated us just enough without being stuffy. The location is quintessential Napa (overlooks the vineyards), quiet, and elegant. GREAT wine and very exclusive. Love it.

I believe it was $15 dollars. It might be waived when you buy a certain number of bottles.

We have several tasting options at the winery. The classic tasting is $20/person
The eco-tour and tasting is $30/person. The Reserve Tasting is $50/person
We do not waive tasting fees, however, a large portion of the fees we collect are donated to charity.

What is the cost of wine tasting?
Written May 18, 2015
I believe it starts at $20/person on up depending on what you have, but we went with people who were members of their wine club - so it was complimentary. Also note that you need reservations, unlike some of the other wineries. Check their website
