I went rafting with some friends for the first time last weekend and I had a blast! The staff in the office that helped me book my trip were very helpful, and knowledgable about all things river related. We ended up camping friday and saturday night, and I had the time of my life. While on the river my group and I got a couple of bumps and bruises. But I think that's to be expected when you're adventuring in the great outdoors.

The river itself was stunning. I didn't realize that we were rafting through a national park, and the landscapes blew me away! The views alone were worth the price for rafting. It felt like I was riding a roller coaster for a couple of hours, and being the adrenaline junkie that I am means that I was absolutely in my element.

Oh and the food??? Let me tell you, I have never been so hungry after getting out of the river after 5 hours. They fed us well and it all tasted great.

All in all, this was way better than just 'camping.' The sense of community up at the river, the camaraderie that everyone up there seems to have, plus the amazing staff, wonderful views and dope food makes this a place I'll be coming back to for years to come. Thanks Mark for the great time, couldn't have done it without your stellar orientation!

My husband and I had such an amazing time on our two day rafting trip! This was our first time ever going camping and rafting so I was super nervous. The campsite was clean and the food we were served was great. We watched a movie under the stars, and had a glow in the dark dance party as well! Rafting was so much fun and this trip is one that I will never forget. The price is great, staff was wonderful, and the experience was all around fantastic! I’m looking forward to our trip this year. I 10/10 recommend booking a trip with Whitewater Adventures! Can’t wai

I went on my first rafting trip last weekend and it was seriously the best experience. So refreshing to do something fun outdoors! We did the Friday night camping which gives you first dibs on a camping spot, and there's also a movie on a big screen out under the stars!! Saturday morning we woke up to a full breakfast and then went rafting on the river. I cannot express in words just how much fun that it was, you go at your own pace and they pack a lunch in your raft for you so you can just stop wherever you want along the river and eat when you want to. The campsite was shaded and right off the river so you can go swim if you want when you're done rafting. I'm already planning my next trip up there, I seriously had such a good time!!!!

YALL. This was the best trip of my entire life. I've been camping and rafting probably a million times but this??? Beyond words. You HAVE to do the friday night camping, no excuses. You show up earlier than everyone and get to pick out the best spot for your tent. Dinner and a movie are provided and you're all set up and ready Saturday morning for the river. The river itself is gorgeous and there's so many spots to pull your raft over and sunbathe or snack. I like hopping out and going through some of the smaller rapids in just my jacket for that extra adrenaline rush.

Legit tho, I'm definitely coming back every year, this was such a life changing and awesome experience!!!

I've gone on rafting trips with this company for the past three years. Every year I've gone on the trip that includes the Friday night camping. It's literally SO much fun.

Just a note.. This page is titled "day trip," but I'm reviewing the two day overnight trip with optional Friday Night camping.

Just a bit of a background on me: I had never gone camping or rafting before I came across Whitewater Adventures. I was a first timer, and felt comfortable and safe with Whitewater Adventures. The staff really commits itself to great customer service. I didn't ONCE feel neglected, and it was actually really cool not having a guide breathing down my neck the whole time.

This is honestly one of the greatest things you can do in all of California. It's such an amazing experience. Not only is it thrilling, but it's also relaxing, social, and straight up beautiful!

I've gone both kayaking and rafting. I love both. Rafts are a little harder to maneuver, but it's really fun to float with all of your buddies. The kayaks provide a different experience, but they're still super awesome. I suggest you try both if you go on the two day overnight trip.

The food is awesome. It's WAY better than any food I've had on any camping trip, either through a company, or with my friends. It's really plentiful; you will not go hungry on this trip. If you want to bring your own snacks, feel free, but unless you're a really picky eater, I honestly think you'll be more than satisfied.

The night activities were a ton of fun. Friday night is movie night. Sitting outdoors and watching a movie on the projector screen is so cool. It feels really retro, and is just an experience that's a ton of fun.

Saturday nights are the dance party! This is a real highlight to the trip, and I'm not some crazy partier by any means.. It's just super super fun. I've met a TON of really cool people, and a dance party in the woods with all your friends is just an experience I think everybody should have.

This trip is so inexpensive, it's almost ridiculous. Quality does not suffer. This is an amazing rafting and camping experience. I honestly don't think it could be any better.

Do yourself a favor and get a group together and go. I went three times last year, and plan to go at least twice this year. Even if it's just you and your best friend, or you and your family reunion, you have to give this whole thing a shot.

So I booked a trip online through my work where we I get a discount with companies like Whitewater adventures rafting company. I had only been rafting once before with a group of guys and it was a guided tour on a larger rafting boat so I figured that this would be the same. Not knowing what to expect I book the trip which was a great price at under $200 for three nights camp/ all meals and two days of rafting. (Can't beat the price).
This company is well organized and you are well fed for breakfast and dinner. (Employees were all friendly and awesome people)
Lunch could be a little better as they only provide you with a large bread roll with two to three pieces of meat/cheese with some small packets of mustard (and the bag of chips). But like I said breakfast and dinner we're fantastic.
Camping areas nice along the river on a grassy area but if you are looking to take a family trip this is not for you as your kids must be at least 12 years of age or older and even then I would not recommend that you bring your kids to this rafting outfitter as there are many young adults who come here to party, I mean there is a lot of alcohol consumption and pot smoking. Saturday night they also have a really cool black light party with a DJ but again this is inappropriate for children even over the age of 12 as there are many people looking to "hook-up" (not that they are bad people in fact most of them were really some of the nicest, coolest people I have ever met; just not an appropriate environment for kids 12 years or older)
Another concern I would have as a novice rafter and parent would be one of safety.
I did not know that this white water rafting trip was self-guided. This can be dangerous for anyone especially for children. The first day of our rafting trip my friend and I flipped our raft over and I ended up under water under some other rafts and pressed up against a Rock underwater. (Just my luck). I managed to break free and swim down the river letting the current take me. (kind of a Scary experience).
I remembered to follow the directions that Mark the owner had instructed in the safety training before the rafting trip where he told us the lifejacket would pop us back up if we went underwater but that wasn't the case as the life jacket vest seemed very worn as was much of the equipment that was used by this outfitter. After fighting the current and catching my breath I got out of the river walk back up the road to where all the equipment was and changed out my lifejacket for another one.
Someone not as strong of a swimmer may not have had the same luck that I did. Again this can be dangerous for an inexperienced white water raft on a self-guided tour.
My rafting canoe also popped and I also saw many of the other rafters who had that same issue. (Inflatable back seat also popped)
That was DAY 1
Day 2 was much better. After all that I do have to say that I still did have a great time especially day number two of rafting the river. I knew what to look for so I picked out a raft that appeared to be in much better condition and I also did the same with the lifejacket/vest. Day number two went off without a hitch. I would definitely do it again.
Bottom line if you are a first timer or inexperienced with white water rafting, I would go with a guided tour to ensure your safety.
My advice to the owner Mark who appears to be a great guy is that he would increase the price to invest in some new equipment that would ensure that people have a great experience all around without the issues that I experience the first day of white water rafting with Whitewater adventures. Also, he should also provide a guided tour.

So... If you are young (18+), and love the outdoor adventures, meeting people, partying... WHITEWATER ADVENTURES IS YOUR PLACE.

Just got back this weekend and the trip was self guided and very safe. We met a lot of great people, it was well organized the port-o-potties were kept clean daily and the food was great. Lots of fresh fruits, veggies and the appetizers was off the charts delicious.

The parking lot where you park your car is under surveillance 24 hours and they shuttle you and your camp stuff to the campsite. However, if you wanted to go back to your car you can walk to the car. A few tips, wear long sleeve rash guard to keep from getting funky tan lines from wearing the life jackets and getting burned.

As long as you keep the rash guard wet or damp you stay cool which acts like air conditioning. Also bring a spray bottle for water to cool yourself off. There is absolutely no cell signal on any carrier, so you will be off the grid and able to have a very relaxing weekend.

The campsites is large so if you wanted to move you can pick a new spot. Bring ear plugs in case you have neighbors that are loud talkers. Also bring a chair to sit on which they do not have on their list.

I brought a soft cooler for our drinks and lunch and make sure you bring carabiners to clamp down anything that is going on the raft.

They have a dry bag for your lunch so you can store your cameras, wallets etc just put it all in a zip lock, some bags were wet inside and can damage your stuff.
Have fun and I would highly recommend this trip. I didn't see any crazy drunk fest going on, everyone was pretty chill and friendly. By around 10:30pm pretty much everyone was asleep or kept the noise down. The white t shirt neon dance night was awesome. The special effects and all the glow in the dark glow sticks made this look like a night club but it is outdoors. The DJ was great. Just a great time for me and my friends.

We had a great time! Staff were great and food was plentiful! I would definitely recommend this outfit to all especially couples. Great way to work with and understand each other in a two person raft!

The only issue which was not their fault, we couldn't find our tent on the way back. Perhaps someone else took it by mistake.
