Point Pinole is not the easiest place to find, but it is well worth small parking fee. A short walk away from the parking lot, the entrance of the park opens to a vista of well spaced out picnic tables and trees. Several trails in addition to the main road go out from there, and you can choose to walk... More

Bought a lunch and headed to the park. Walked a bit and found a great spot for our picnic. Couldn't see the bay, but we were surrounded by trees with washrooms and a fountain close by. Afterwards, we walked out to the point and spent quite a bit of time on the pier. The wind shelters were put up for... More

Wonderful park. Walk to fishing pier. Trail by bay or walk through forest. Well maintained recreation area, picnic area, beautiful!

If you go during the week, it's rarely crowded so one can traverse the trails in peace. Not super big, there are trails that wind through trees, fields and along the San Pablo bay waterfront; there is a shuttle that transports people to and from a fishing pier. There are informative/educational signs about the flora/fauna that thrive in the area.... More

This regional park is a gem, and also a historical place here in the SF Bay Area. All the trails for hiking, biking and just plain exploring are well marked, paved and a lot of fun when exercising. It's also a place to picnic, bring your dog for walks, as well as numerous photo ops too. It's also a nice... More

We arrived around 3pm on a windy weekend day. Ended up walking about 4 miles in this park -- we walked the coastline to the pier and down the paved 'trail' back. Great views of SF bay, San Pablo bay and parts between. Remember to bring layers - on a sunny day, we here happy to have wind breakers over... More

With top rated schools, reasonable real estate and rentals, please don't come to Pinole. While it's only a half hour to SF (if you leave early enough), with lots of restaurants and a big mall (HIlltop Mall), we are fully 10 minutes from BART! If everyone comes to Pinole, before you know it, our costs will skyrocket. We won't be... More

A great place to hike and see wonderful views of the bay. There are well-marked trails for walking or biking and there are a lot of picnic sites. The hike to the pier is my favorite.

It is such a beautiful sight, seeing your children wanted to climb down the rocks to put there hands in the water. When you go in the evening, you can sit on the bench and watch the sun go down. Love it!!!!!
