I enjoy the comment from the beach of Figueirinha and referring to the rest of the Serra da Arrabida.. All beaches. Galapos, Rabbits, I believe.. are at the foot of the Arrabida mountain with only difference in the geography of the beach and visual. Visual galapagos and beautiful galapagos. But the sea and sand is the same.. We Brazilians is the tip .. will not be able to make a walk by the sea because soft sand sink the foot and short sea edge. Very cold water. I was in late September of the summer in case support for vacationer I did not find. The tour is worth by the view of the beaches and alone. Nessa Figueirinha had parking and restaurant on the beach

This beach is absolutely magnificent, in my opinion one of the most beautiful in Portugal. Immaculate white sand, very clean, transparent water, "blue flag" quality, deck chairs and umbrellas, very well organized, quiet public, at least in September. The beach has no less than 5 lifeguard posts and we understand why: it is bordered by very strong currents, particularly on the left towards the rocks. I had to be picked up by a lifeguard and I am far from being the first, swimmers ended up in hospital. The presence of these currents is very poorly indicated. This is dangerous, especially with young children. It is imperative to stay very close to the edge. Beyond 5 m from the edge we put ourselves in danger.

Excellent beach, good access and affordable car park. Support bars and good restaurant.
When the tide is low it forms a promontory of sand that makes the delicacies of anyone. To repeat.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever known. The perfect beach for people with reduced mobility. Amphibious chair, water access walker, 5 star support. Accessible WC
Parking very close
Wished to live closer to enjoy more often

Praia da Figueirinha is gorgeous! If you’re on the road it’s defined worthy stopping by it! It has a gorgeous view! It’s surrounded by the park and it’s a great place to take a break, walk.

All of the beaches along this stretch of coast are busy and parking is often very difficult, be prepared to drive a little further onto the West Coast and you will find loads of amazing beaches that are often empty!

This is by far the best beach I’ve ever been to around Lisbon! The sand was white and clean, the water was turquoise and clear, with the sun shinning in the sky above!! It was just great! And there weren’t that many people, which made it even better!!
Only problem is that it is miles away from everything, and is a good two hours away from Lisbon.

Sunday afternoon we went to Arrabida for the second time and we were amazed of so much beauty it was the end of June but there were not too many people to be Sunday.
The emerald color of the water and the white color of the sand make a rainbow of superb color that we found just on the caribe.
Another amazing experience is the number of the fish around of your leg that proof the cleanliness of the water.
We hight recommended to visit Arrabida.

Figuerinha beach at any time of the year is worth a visit. It can easily reached by car or public transport. In summer it is difficult to park and it is better to be reached by bus or taxi. The beach is large and clean with good facilities. There is a nice café-restaurant. Water is not very warm as anywhere along the atlantic coast bit doable. The view is great with the Sierra Arabida at the back. Well worth a visit

First of all, get the early in morning (before 9am) or late afternoon (after 5pm) to find a parking spot. This would be the only bother - parking. The beach is very nice - from one side the cold but tranquil waters of Atlantic ocean; opposite to the blue waters you have the mountains and small road tunnels, which can make you think for a few moments you are in the French or Italian riviera.
Mostly families visit this beach. Nice infrastructure and a couple of restaurants available.

Does anyone know the best way to reach this beach from Lisbon? I won't have access to a car rental, I am open to buses/trains/public transportation. Thank you!
Written May 17, 2017
This may be late to answer, but using public transport from Lisbon is not that easy as there are no direct connections. The easiest way is from SetĂºbal, where there are buses available departing from the main bus station: Av. 5 de Outubro, 46. You can reach SetĂºbal directly by bus (departing both from Praça de Espanha or Gare do Oriente) or train (Fertagus line) from Lisbon.
