Winery tours, tasting and purchasing are 1-5 on summer weekends and by appointment at the winery. We produce distinctive, site-driven small batch wines made mainly from grapes grown in small plots in Southern Humboldt. Our wines receive recognition in well known wine competitions including the CA State Fair and the Orange County Fair, along with top reviews from wine writers. We are best known for our Single Vineyard Humboldt Pinot Noirs and our Brut Sparkling wines, while our other reds and whites are distinctive and well received. Our Winery is located about 75 yards up Ferren Road, off of Briceland/Shelter Cove Road, 1/4 mile before Briceland 6 miles West from Redway on the way to Shelter Cove.

The misses and I made an appointment with Andrew during one of his days of bottling. We could not have been treated better by him and his wife. We got to see the bottling line, taste some of his Syrah off the line and go through several of his other bottlings. The winery is tucked away in a beautiful wooded... More

I've been tasting wines made by this family for many years. They always create a quality you can count on. They have delightful, small events on the weekend throughout the summer, and then some really fun spring and fall tastings where you meet the locals of a wonderful community. They make a white wine in the Italian tradition that is... More

My newly-wedded husband and I dropped in on a lark. We were on our way to Sinkyone SP and saw the sign "vineyard". Andrew, kind host and owner, welcomed our unannounced selves and gave us a tour. We tasted on the cozy patio with him and his lovely wife Rosie. The wine was excellent. His knowledge of the science, philosophy,... More

Briceland winery makes amazing wines. I arranged a trip to visit the winery for my birthday and it was the best present ever! Andrew is very accommodating and made the experience very memorable. His love for the wines they make is evident and he gave us a thorough history and wine education about the southern humboldt region. I can't wait... More

Went to the open house. Extremely crowded and understaffed. Wine was warm, and the wait was long. Don't recommend their wines either.

Dear SFOAnnie, I am sorry that it took so long to reply to your review. Firstly, thanks for taking the time to comment. I am surprised by your comments and wish I knew which Open House Tasting you attended. We have never had an Open House in August. That aside, it is true that Open House Tastings can be wildly... It was a delightful wine tasting experience at a beautiful, unique and quaint winery. We had a wonderful time visiting, eating, and tasting a variety of great wines. Everyone was very welcoming, friendly, and provided a lovely day. I would recommend taking a trip and experiencing a beautiful setting, delightful hosts, and delicious wines.

What a memorable experience. Your wines are superb and the individual, warm inviting atmosphere are a once in a lifetime event. I will take the memories of this wonderful time back to New Jersey along with some Briceland wine. Thank you for your hospitality.

Briceland Winery embodies the spirit of our area with it's laid back style, natural rustic beauty and high quality wines. Missing from our wine tasting was the mass production, impersonal run of the mill tours that I have grown sour with in the Napa region. My friends and I had a lovely afternoon with the owners, I would certainly recommend... More

I recently spent a lovely afternoon at the Briceland vineyards with some of my girlfriends. We had a wonderful privet wine tasting, with included fantastic wines and some superb appetizers. The owners Andrew and Rosie, were very knowledgable about all of the wines, and they made us feel very welcome and comfortable. I highly recommend visiting the Briceland winery and... More

Four of my friends and I did a wine tasting at Briceland Vineyards and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hosts were very friendly and informative and the wines were wonderful. Briceland Vineyards had donated a tasting to a local school for a silent auction that my friend had won. They allowed her to bring four of her friends along for the... More
