Sacramento Children's Museum's opened our doors in 2011 with a mission is to spark a passion for life-long learning. We are accomplishing our mission by providing a place where children are encouraged to think for themselves, expand their problem-solving abilities through creative exploration, and exercise both their bodies and their minds. The Museum's hands-on environments provide children with a gateway for opening up their minds to developing new abilities, building confidence, and making connections between their dreams and real world experiences.

Took my nephews and sister here a few months back. We had SO MUCH FUN! They have a wooden block city, kids can paint on the glass of the art room (cleaned every 30 minutes), and the boys couldn't get enough of stuffing scarves into the air pipes (air pressure pushes scarves through a maze of pipes). Can't wait to... More

We have a children's museum near home so, I didn't know if my two kids were going to be excited here. They LOVE it. My daughter was playing dress-up on the stage for a long time and my son loved the tracks for goofball (even though they didn't quite work). We were there for two hours before taking a picnic... So many things for the little ones to play with and explore. I really enjoyed how there were age limits. Not older boys or girls bullying and running over the younger children. Which was my experience at a few other places.

Skip It, Go to the next attraction. Just some plastic cut outs you used to make during high school volunteer projects for the kids at burn units of hospitals or something, lol

It's a relatively small museum but they pack it with a good amount of fun stuff. More a play space than a museum but for what it is I think it's pretty good. I was there with my 1 year old, the baby area is fenced off to improve safety,. There are some reasonably fun toys and activities for small... More

I am from out of town and new to this museum. It was nice but pretty average. We stayed for about two hours. There was story time which we participate in and enjoyed.

I visited with my toddler granddaughter and a friend's toddler (about 15 months each). There is so much for them to safely do. We spent 2 1/2 hours and only left so the girls could nap. Check out the water room, 5 and under area, and the art classes.

Fun, interactive, and educational experiences for little tots. Great place to take your pre-school age kids. Beware of the water play, it's addictive for the little ones so make sure they put on the provided waterproof apron first! The painting area is fun too, although a bit messy. I never did understand why it's called a "museum" but so be... More
