About
We make Italian wine the Italian way! Award winning wines from Aglianico, Nebbiolo and Aleatico grapes. Passito sweet dessert wines and all natural balsamic vinegars complete our own creations. We have learned to make our products without adding anything to them for a better quality and enhancement of their healthy properties and tasting experience.

We had an enjoyable day getaway in San Diego's back country.

Our visit to Principe di Tricase was an enjoyable one, setting the tone for a relaxing day.

Mel (our server) was a knowledgeable, friendly hostess, patiently explaining the 6 wines. (The $15 tasting fee is waived with the purchase of a bottle).

The winery added a 7th glass, a Nebbiolo, as I'd inquired about the grape.

I am not a frequent visitor of wineries, so my knowledge is limited. But I enjoyed the tasting. The lasagna & pesto pizza complemented the wines, as we sat under a canopy of pomegranates, sharing good conversation.

Fantastico! We had such a lovely time tasting Italian varietals right here in San Diego. What a treat. We felt like we were back in the vineyards in Italy. We would totally come back again because we have experienced wines that we never would have in other places and Alberto was the consummate host. Viva Italia!

The wine is really nice, and the people here made it a wonderful afternoon!
The family, fun stories, and barrel tastings made our visit so memorable we can't wait to go back.
We were made to feel like we were honored guests.
Every wine we tried (and tried, and tried) was delicious. The Sangria is amazing!

This winery appears run-down and almost junky, but it is a gem. Alberto Sepe makes you feel as if you are actually in Italy. The wine is different from the standard winery fare, and it is excellent. We tasted many varieties we had never even heard of before our visit here, and we bought several to take home. The back story of the winery is interesting and entertaining, and we will definitely visit here again.

Visiting here is like visiting southern Italy - the family offers true hospitality in a very rustic setting with a menagerie of animals that roam an enclosure near the tasting area. We saw peacocks, chickens, rabbits and even turkeys as we enjoyed some very interesting italian wines.

Not that many wineries are open on weekdays, which is why we , a group of 4, ended up here. and what a delight it was. It was pouring outside but we didn’t notice, as owner Alberto filled us in on the ins and outs of his wine making. He was charming and fun, and by the way, we also enjoyed the wine. We had a great time.

Well you could say that the grounds are a little less than desirable but the wine is very good. So keep that in mind maybe use the bathroom at your stop prior to Principe or you’ll be using an outhouse. Connected to a tree lot you could say maybe come around Christmas time and kill two birds with one stop. Get a tree and taste some wine at the same time. Great little rustic stop on you’re journey of wine tasting in the Ramona valley.

We fell in love with the wine mailers if Ramona Valley in no small part because of our visit to Principe di Tricase. We were able to meet the owner directly and hear the tale of how this lovely winery came to be. As one would expect from a native of Italy, there is a lot of passion and pride that has gone into the winery. The have an interesting take on some classics. Their moscato is a bit dry and lightly sparkling, their sangria is amazing and the company is second to none.

Well I’d like to start by saying there are so many boutique wineries in Ramona. As a resident my sister and I have been trying to get out and try them all. Lots of them have great wine and some of them have great ambience. But it’s hard to have both. So this place has great wine and great desert wines but the ambiance outside is a bit like a junkyard. So if you don’t mind looking past the yard then you’ll very much enjoy the wine.
