The trail is fairly good condition for hiking, but at points can be rugged enough to be glad you have proper walking/hiking footwear. The washrooms are at the concession stand immediately at the parking lot. It will cost $10.00 to enter the park unless you...More

We did this hike from the Highway 67 side, parking on the side of the road a few hundred yards south of the fire station. This is a popular hike, so the parking can be a challenge on a busy weekend. Access to the trail...More

Went the back way from Ramona, takes about 3 hours. This leads to the potato chip rock. Not for little kids, leave early in the day.

The Mount Woodson Trail takes you up to Potato Chip Rock, and it's SO WORTH IT. Sure, it's a demanding 7+ miles (round trip). But you get some great views of those rocky hills and valleys as you wind your way up. THEN, when you...More
