I have lived in Poway for over 30 years. So sorry I didn’t take advantage of this park when my kids were young! There is a museum, casual dining restaurant, a meeting hall, gazebo, and a train station with a working train for families to ride through the park on the weekends. Restrooms, water fountains, and plenty of areas to picnic. Complete with a stream running through the property. There is a farmers market every Saturday and often a craft fair. It is possible to reserve the various picnic areas for a special event. Bonus- plenty of free parking. Worth a visit.

Great park for families to enjoy. Breakfast, lunch or dinner at The Hamburger Factory or bring your own picnicking favorite foods. Train rides and exhibits are available most weekends with the farmers market/street fair on Saturdays. In the heart Old Poway

What a great park set in the middle of a circular train track run. Beautiful surroundings with trees and the old town Poway district with all its charm. Enjoy a picnic and then take the train for a ride around the park. Great for all ages and activities.

The farmers are still there with their amazing flowers, plants, organic fruits, berries, and vegetables, eggs and honey --but you can also find avocado toast, stuffed hash browns, Turkish street food, tamales, Venezuelan food, lemonade, popcorn, waffles, fish tacos, coconut yogurt, Brazilian brigadeiros (don't miss these!), fudge, coffee, kombucha on tap, and so on. There are picnic tables next to the train station and further into the park. Enjoy this international food event!
