Life can be a grind. We humans face patterns of monotony through family life and often work. It is imperative that we alleviate the machinery, the cogs of such mind and soul sapping boredom with a breath of adventure, movement and goose bump making vistas. This is what Eco Bike Adventure was created for. Chris Rothe the owner and engineer of this amazing concept has brought to life a dream of mine, to responsibly lead the revolution of electrified mountain biking.

As anyone who has tried mountain biking as I have, for the past 20 years, knows the activity can demand a level of fitness that is often not maintainable for the average worker, father, and husband. To truly ride the mountains and feel free as one might experience on horse back you must have the legs, lungs, and core of a veteran cross fit athlete. This is not the case with the Santa Cruz Bronson's, fat bike style full suspension, one of kind, technically unbelievable electric mountain bikes. These aluminum steeds are balanced electric works of art.

After arriving on this picturesque valley laden ranch you are greeted by your friendly tour guide, who is eager to inform you of the technical but easy to understand workings of the electric mountain bike. There are plenty of level patches of dirt to become well acquainted with your new best friend, I named mine supernova. The power seems almost x-men like but absolutely controllable for a myriad of rider weights, heights, and ages. Chris has outfitted his company with all the protective gear necessary to get back home without a scratch. Full face helmets, knee, shin and elbow protection included. The new advanced and light weight batteries are worn within your water pack. This maintains the natural feel and balance of the bike.

The ranch abutts a mountain that has carved, well maintained ATV trails. Chris indicated that the tour is completely adaptable to all level of riders within the tour. My wife and I having ridden for years and asked for the best and most challenging version. Let me say that we were far from disappointed. The throttle is designed to allow a seamless blending of both peddling and if you should completely desire no peddling. The workout you want from this adventure is completely up to you.

Chris is an excellent and caring company owner and tour guide. He kept things fun with great information about the mountain and the history of the area. Our destination was complete when we arrived at Ross meadow and the work was worth the view. In conclusion bring your girlfriend, daughter, son, wife, family or just come alone but just make sure you invest in this new and ever growing technology meets monotony crushing fun. Thanks Chris and Eco Bike Adventures for this incredible experience.

The location is only a 50 minute drive northwest of Reno, NV and provides a terrific experience on electric bikes. The guide tailored the tour to different abilities and as a first timer on an e-bike and to mountain biking, I felt secure and comfortable. The area is beautiful and its worth taking a few minutes to enjoy the scenery from the rocking chair on the front porch.

Excellent mountain biking adventure. They tailored the day to our experience level on mountain bikes. Challenging, exciting and great guides. Amazing scenery. A really enjoyable activity. They provide you with gloves, back packs, chilled water and snack bars. Worth a trip out for a great time!!

Five Star Active Family Fun Outdoors San Francisco
Wow, looking for an adventure for your family, look no further than EcoBikesAdventures. Craig suggested the Beach to Bridge Tour - a custom 4 hour adventure for our family of 4 starting near the San Francisco Zoo, heading along Ocean Beach, up through Golden Gate Park, Presidio, Golden Gate Bridge and back along via Pacific Heights on the 49 mile drive. The electric bikes feel like a hand on your back and give you that little boost to navigate those incredible hills with just mild effort. The views were out of this world and places we would never have got to on our own. Of course you can scale back the boost and get the workout you want at any time. These bikes bring the accessibility of amazing sights, distance and hills of SF to the average family’s abilities. We were the envy of the tourists sitting in traffic jams in cars trying to find parking space or worse getting lost, hot and frustrated. Craig was a outstanding guide, patient, kind and always Safety First particularly with our 13 year old who needed a little more close eye instruction and navigation with the bike lines. Rest breaks, snacks and water throughout – the time flew by. This was without a doubt the highlight of our family’s time in SF and would recommend to tourists and locals alike – just be able to ride a bike. Note: Craig does offer amazing tours in other areas, but the SF tour was perfect for our needs.

Recently moved to Northern CA.. last week of summer before returning to school we went to Tahoe for adventure and fun.. We did 3 MTB tours... Eco Bike Adventures was the best BY FAR! 2 adults nearing 50yrs old, 2 boys 10 and 12.. we all had a blast will be back again this year. John and Craig are outstanding guides, giving great riding tips along the way. The bikes are Santa Cruz with custom engineered motors awesome for getting uphill. The terrain they have is fantastic many miles and acres of trails. Really can't rave enough about this - way better than the other MTB option we tried this trip, really really fun for all

Wanted to try mountain biking with kids (10, 12, 13....boy and girls). Eco Bike was awesome. Great experience with the kids. Bikes were amazing....motor helps you when you need it, and kids had no trouble with it. Guide (Chris) and property were awesome too. Definitely recommend. 45 minute (beautiful) drive from Truckee. 1/2 the cost and safer for kids than downhill mountain bike rental at the Resorts.

We did this twice and was pretty awesome both times. First ride we rode with another couple. Total ride was about 8.5 miles over a 2 hour ride. Our guide's name was Chris. He was knowledgeable of the trail and what to expect. We took breaks often where he would explain the upcoming trial a bit and a little of the history of the surroundings. The second day was even better. It was just my husband and I on the trail. Chris arranged it last minute. Our guide's name was John. We rode about 10.5 miles over about 2+ hours. Since it was just us we rode harder and slightly more technical trails since he knew we were capable. Again the ride and scenery was amazing! Both times they supplied us with granola bars for snacks and waters. All gear is included. You just show up. We will do it again for sure. We are planning a trip with some friends and their son in August.
