Thank Goodness for this Casino! We arrived in town on a Tuesday evening and by the time we dropped our stuff and went into town there wasn't anything opened! so we headed to the grill which was at the Casino. Really good food, nice friendly staff at the grill and bar. Hung out, watched some sports, played a bit of video poker and ate our dinner. Really fun and open every day!

Not much on gambling, but this is a small casino. Down the road away, it offers slot machine, and a cafe for food. Prices not bad, played 25.00 worth of money, and got a sandwich. Pretty basic.

The Garcia River Casino is a small, friendly stop on your way thru Point Arena. We have been to the casino, located less than 10 minutes off of Hwy 1, on probably 8 or 10 trips up or down the coast since they have opened. The casino is small, but has enough variety of slot machines, that we are always able to find a machine to spend some time on. Though we did not eat there on this trip, we have had dinner there on the last 3 times in the area, and the wife and I find the food filling and the price for us both comes in at about $25. Soft drinks are complimentary for everyone. We always enjoy stopping by, though this trip, we did not drink enough of the sodas to cover our losses, we will look forward to another go round the next time.

Garcia River Casino is close to the Lighthouse Resort, serves free beverages, has a small kitchen for small plates. It's a small, friendly casino.

I had Eggs Benedict. I like my poached eggs very soft, but at least a little cooked. These weren't. They sat on an Untoasted English Muffin, swam in some orangish colored tasteless sauce, with a couple slices of Canadian bacon that tasted odd. The potatoes were the hash brown mess that Cisco delivers in huge plastic bags. This was the worst breakfast I have had in California. This was pretty close to the worse breakfast I have ever had. But the service was friendly and pleasant, so I'll toss in an extra star. The casino itself is small and unimpressive as well. Better off buying a bridge.

- They have reasonable food prices not like those in town (2-Topping Medium Pizza - $24! A doughnut (not filled) and a pastry - $5). Good portions and GREAT food... You know it's good when lots of locals drop by for breakfast and lunch. SUPER service!
- The casino staff is helpful and VERY nice. Clean and comfortable atmosphere.
- Newer games than you would expect. AND, both my wife and I won.
- Don't be fooled by the outside.... it's worth the time to visit them!!!

The slots are newer though few. Slots surprisingly loose but don't expect any big wins. Restrooms amazingly nice.

The restaurant serves a full menu. It's a place where you setup your own silverware, etc, but don't let that fool you. In particular, I love the Friday night prime rib special. It's $21 and the cut of prime rib is large and very high quality - I know you won't believe it. But do believe it. Give it a try! Served with a salad, baked potato, vegetables, and horseradish. I have not had a better cut of prime rib at this price point. I have had it at least five times now and it does not disappoint.
The casino is small but I've had on and off good luck. There are no table games, only machines. Various slots, video poker (5 cents up to $5 or $10 'coin' which is nice if you like to go big). Cashier is never busy. Whole place is never busy! They DO close in the late evening and reopen in the morning, which is something I guess I have never before seen in a casino - so don't plan an all night gambling binge, haha.

Tiny casino, but actually pretty good food and a great alternative to spending a lot of money at any of the other restaurants around.

Food was good for such a remote location. I had a veggie burger with garlic fries and a side sale that was so big I had to take the rest to the hotel for later. My wife had the clam chowder which apparently wins awards. She liked it. Her first so can't really compare it. She had fish and chips and took most of it to the hotel as well..
