We went to Bella Piazza yesterday and had a very nice time. The flight had at least eight wines and the host at the tasting bar was extremely accommodating and flexible after those who were part of a luncheon event had departed the tasting room to go to the patio for their luncheon. Having the tasting room all to ourselves, we could converse with our indoor voices and finally easily hear each other!
It was one of our most interesting, fun and informative wine tastings and that says a lot considering how many we have attended. The wines were good enough to buy a case of one and 3 individual bottles of others.
We had packed a lunch so we had one of the individual bottles uncorked and enjoyed our lunch on their front patio on what turned out to be a slightly brisk but sunny and beautiful day. We highly recommend making Bella Piazza one of your wine tasting stops in the area.

Delicious wines, great food, and really nice outdoor seating. The wine club is very enticing with lots of benefits.

Just had Mother's Day Brunch outside in the beautiful gardens at Bella Piazza. This was going to be a real treat - to spend quality time with my son, his wife and his mother-in-law. It didn't start off good - we were shown to our table and told that someone would be with us soon. After 10 minutes, we flagged down the greeter and asked if he could send us our waitress. He said we should just go help ourselves to the buffet and our waitress would be with us shortly. The buffet looked wonderful - lots of variety - only problem was that every plate I pulled from the stack had dried food on it. I discretely reported to one of the wait staff and handed them the dirty dishes. They did bring out more plates. I searched through about 5 of the plates on my side before I found one clean enough to use. I got my salad and went back out to our table and waited for our waitress. We asked for water - to which she replied that we could help ourselves to the water inside, but we could purchase a bottle of wine from her. I finished my salad and went back in to get the entree. Once again, I had to search through the stacks of plates to find one clean enough to use. It wasn't like the dried food was hard to spot. One plate had rice kernels - very obvious. I notified the staff again and they brought out more dishes. Bottom line - No reason to ever go back to this place. The food was OK, but not exceptional. The service was non-existent and although I do like some of their wines, I can purchase them for less at Costco.

We were very excited to head to Bella Piazza on our very short trip to Amador County. We pulled up at 5pm after calling and verifying the close time on that day was 5:30pm. We were hestiantly greeted and told that the last tasting was 5:15pm, we said OK it is 5pm. We were then told that she would then need to ask her manager and 5 minutes later were told we could taste half the normal tasting for the same price as a full tasting. We just said no thank you and walked out. The outside does look beautiful, but there are so many other places to wine taste where you are treated so well and have great wines. I can't tell you how their wine is since we weren't able to taste it. Wine tasting is about the experience and this was horrible.

The cars in the parking lot were our first clue. So many had already arrived at Bella Piazza before us we had to discover it for ourselves. The grounds are beautiful with roses blooming, manicured lawn and fountains dancing in front of us, all of this lured us in. The patio was lively with picnickers as we found our way into the large tasting room. Initially, it felt like we stepped into a high end furniture and design center. Behind the artful displays in the large space was a room long counter. There we spent the next hour enjoying two different flights of reds and one white. New wine blends and varietals intrigued our taste buds, including a white Barbera we had to bring home. The wines matched the surroundings creating a dreamy afternoon. Bella Piazza we will be back!!
