I must preface this with the statement that I am not a fan of sweet wines. This winery focuses on red wines and sweet wines. In fact, many of the reds had residual sugar. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They also have a very nice art gallery above the tasting room. Definitely worth a visit.

If you love sweet wines, you have to stop at Charles Spinetta. This is by far my favorite winery. I have visited others in Napa, Paso Robles, and Amador and this one takes the cake. It is hard to find a winery that has delicious sweet/dessert wines so when I found Spinetta, I was hooked. I have been coming here... More

If you love wines that are sweet, this is the best place to go! They have a ton of flavor such you hardly notice it is all that sweet. The art gallery is amazing. Love the labels! Worth a visit.

We were recommended to go here since me and my husband both enjoy sweet wines! This place definitely hit the spot! We bought several bottles to take on the road with us! If you are a sweet wine drinker this place is where to go

I live close by and always take guests here. The wines they make are, in my opinion, inferior to those of most other wineries in the area. However, they have a wonderful, wildlife art gallery upstairs that is well worth the visit.

Whenever we go to the Shenandoah Valley, we head straight for this winery. The dessert wines are wonderful! And the art gallery on the second floor is spectacular. Now, if they had a quartet quietly playing jazz or light classical in the corner, we might never leave ...

This family owned vineyard was perfect for our Sunday wine tasting. We'd sampled tasted their wine the previous night at dinner, but their other sweet wines blew us away. We walked out with 18 bottles to entertain our friends in the nights to come. Ask Michael to pour you a sample of the "Owl Wine" - this Zinfandel will be... More

We stumbled across Spinetta two years ago during a Week-end get away weekend. Neither of us are big wine drinkers, but it has an Art Gallery upstairs so it was worth a stop. After touring the gallery, which has some interesting paintings, we spoke with the sales staff. They offered us a tasting, we declined, stating we preferred sweet wines,... More

This is our DIL’s favorite stop in the area and she thought I would like it as she and I both prefer a sweeter wine. Yes, she was correct. We (she, I, and my hubs) enjoyed our time there very much. The attendants were funny and most helpful. We felt very comfortable there. In the end, we bought the Frost... More
