Went on the wine bus tour for a friends birthday, what a blast! Cost was $30 as I'm not a member, we had 14 people so we filled the bus, taken into the vineyards, the storage facility, bottling room, an old water tower where we tasted cheese and wine pairings, all in all probably tasted about 12 or 15 wines,... Loved taking the wine bus through the vineyards and stopping for cheese and wine pairings. Great history and wine information from the tour bus driver. Must have 9 people to book the bus. Sitting outside sharing wine with friends along the vineyards was also nice.

Ruby Hill Winery was our last stop for the day of Livermore wineries. We arrived at 4:20 knowing there was a 5:30 closing time. But the staff treated us as if we were keeping them from way more important things. There was no conversation about the wines to be had, even when we asked specific questions. We asked about the... We stopped here mostly to get off the mess that is the freeway back to the South Bay as the traffic was crazy. It was a very pleasant surprise. We had the wine tasting and ended up buying 6 bottles of really tasty wine. There was a sale on the sparkling wine and the Chardonnay was just too yummy to... More

My husband and I were in Santa Clara for a Monster Jam event and wanted to check out the local wineries. We were so glad we stopped at the Ruby Hill Winery. The staff, Bill and Tony were knowledgable and made our experience great fun. No high pressure here but you wouldn't need it as all the wines were great.... More

At first we stopped at Rubino Winery, apparently a sister winery to Ruby Hill, but it seemed chilly inside for a nice February day. Maybe it was the attitude, trying to be upscale Italian. When we balked at Sangiovese and Chardonnay, our least favorite wines, they suggested we try Ruby Hill, which had a more French-style feel. We were so... More

My boyfriend and I took the Trip Advisor reviews and decided to try Ruby Hill. Extremely nice staff, and a beautiful tasting room full of fun decor for any wine lovers home. We decided to try 2 different sets of tasting. The wine was light for my taste and a little on the sweeter side. I would have preferred some... More

We visited a wedding at Ruby Hill Winery and had a wonderful time. The staff was great, wine tasty, celebration amazing and the overall experience was fantastic. Highly recommend Ruby Hill for events or a day of wine tasting.

Large tasting room, public potty, beautiful grounds and lots of wine knick knacks to take home too. I am not going to tell you which wines to buy because we all like different ones. But we did by some of the Sangiovese and Barbera. They do mail to most states. The tasting serving is more than a sip, so if... More

Just gorgeous! And the wine was good too...learned a lot about the history of the area's wineries and about Pinot grigios grapes. Fun merchandise for sale....if we lived in the area, I could see us becoming members. Thanks Brian!
