Although upon arrival, I wasn't certain, things worked out. When I walked in, there were people seated at most seats at the "bar" leaving only single seats available. There was also one couple at a table. I selected a table and took a seat. A few minutes later, my husband joined me at the table. We noted that another couple... More

This is a small family run winery. They have a very nice, but small tasting room with a friendly staff. We enjoyed their wines. There are no public grounds, but you can see the surrounding vineyards. They are also dog-friendly.

This was new territory for some veteran Napa and Sonoma wine tasting fans! What a great spot Philo is, it's a treasure trove of interesting wineries. We went to Toulouse on the recommendation of a friend, and we were so glad we did! Personable staff and great wine, we are now members of their wine club which is very reasonable.... More

One of the fun aspects of Wine tasting is checking out small wineries and watching them grow. We were told of Toulouse a number of years ago and visited then in a barn like structure as their tasting room, with one White and three Pinot Noir varieties. One of those was among the best Pinot Noirs we tasted in Anderson... More

A very friendly winery and the tasting is extremely affordable ($5!) - especially given how good the wine was. Excellent pinots (noir and gris). And the outside seating is adorable (large barrels serve as tables) and it has a beautiful view too!

this is my favorite winery anywhere. The location is nice, albeit far from where I live in Southern California, the staff is extremely friendly, and the wines are fabulous. They have a wide range of wines, and pour many of them daily. My favorite is the Hungarian Oak Pinot - they rarely pour it at the wine tastings, but ask... More

The vast majority of the time, you will get to meet Vern, the owner/winemaker, of Toulouse when you drop by the tasting room. I personally think that Toulouse produces some of the best Pinot Noir in the valley. The tasting room staff are outstanding and the entire spectrum of wines produced there is very, very good. Just opened my first... More

Nice mid-range place up the hillside, fun atmosphere. Side note they have some great wine aerators with various animal heads in stainless steel for sale, they wil be pouring with a couple examples. Decent wine, mid-range pricing, no pretension. Good service and beautiful view of the valley. Enjoyed our lunch under a few redwoods in a small picnic area by... More

Good Pinot noir, an outstanding Pinot Gris and a very interest petit Sirah make this a wonderful stop on the way to the coast.

I had been unaware of this small family-run winery until researching places to stop on our most recent visit to the Anderson Valley. We've come here several times previously, and in addition to visiting a couple old favorites, wanted to try some new spots. What a fortuitous choice. The wines were wonderful, the tasting room server (Kathy) was extremely personable,... More
