We were staying in Mendocino for a week and wanted to do some wine tasting. Someone in Mendocino had recommended this place as a premier winery. It does have a beautiful setting. Reservations are required. Very expensive wine tasting fee at $25 per person. We enjoyed a nice cheese plate ($20 ) with our wine tasting. They served a truffle sauce with their cheeses and it was so strong that it overpowered their wines. I was surprised they didn't comp at least one tasting fee when we bought a bottle of wine. Our wine host was very knowledgeable but then ruin the moment at the end by saying we had already been there for 45 minutes! I have never been at a wine tasting where I felt rushed. They had maybe 5 other groups so it wasn't like they were busy. I would not recommend this place as there are so many other wineries in Anderson Valley and in nearby Sonoma Wine region to visit.

Wish I had read the prior reviews about rude staff and being rushed during the tasting before wasting my time and money here. Exactly what we experienced at our tasting. It was the end of October, and the place was empty, yet we were effectively told to leave after 1 hour. Their website states they have a "strict" 60 minute limit on tastings, which I understand if the place was packed. But again, EMPTY, and our "host" informed after 60 minutes we had to give up our table for wine club members. Again, EMPTY and no one waiting. I really expected more from a Duckhorn winery, but it was very disappointing and very poor hospitality. Anderson Valley has so many and much better winery options, some which do not even charge a tasting fee. Get a clue Goldeneye.

Beautiful property. Good wines. Nice presentation. Doug was a wonderful host. Ended up buying several bottles because we enjoyed the wine tasting and talking with the host. Beautiful views of vineyards at our wine tasting. Would recommend this winery for the quality of wine, the overall experience, and their hospitality.

This is such a great winery, part of the great Duckhorn Group. The wine folks are so nice and helpful. You sit for a tasting and, if you choose, you can have a cheese board or something similar. All the wines that are poured are explained in great detail and are poured at the same time so you can compare.
We sat out on the patio and it was very comfortable.
Goldeneye has some of the best Pinot Noirs that you can find anywhere. They are among our very favorites.

This was our first visit to the Anderson Valley for wines. Lots of great places for wine tasting. Our favorite, the Goldeneye Winery. Such a nice staff!!! Saturo guided us through a wonderful wine tasting. I noticed the name Duckhorn on a sign and he explained that it is part of the Duckhorn family. The setting is beautiful and sitting outside on their patio was a great way to spend our afternoon.

We made reservations for a wine tasting for eight people. The patio and grounds are beautiful. The tasting included six pinot noirs from their different vineyards and each was paired with a different local cheese. It is a little pricey for the tasting and cheeses, but well worth it. Their patio is also dog friendly.

Absolutely LOVED our Goldeneye tasting in March 2021. The grounds are incredibly beautiful and the wines are exceptional. Our tasting experience with Carrie was a lovely: she was very friendly and knowledgeable not just about the wines but the ecosystem of Anderson Valley that lends to their exceptional wines. I walked away with several bottles of the Split Rail and Ten Degrees pinot noirs and cannot wait to open one (and visit) again.

If you go to Anderson Valley, Goldeneye is a MUST see and taste!

Absolutely lovely grounds and quite tasty wines too. The view from the outdoor tasting patio is absolutely gorgeous, looking over the garden and into the vineyard with the forested hills beyond. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable and we got to try 8 different wines (with some crackers on the side).

Have been visiting this winery for several years. Very disappointed today. Arrived and asked if we had reservations which we did not and have never needed. Told we could sit inside or a long uncomfortable table on the deck. There were 4 empty tables in the courtyard that all said reserved. The sad thing is two of the tables remained empty the entire time we were there. When we were leaving there were four empty tables. Basically we were ignored everyone around us was offered cheese except us. I would never consider joining there wine club when you can go to total wine and get most of the wine. I feel that for $30 for the two of us we were not treated nicely. Shame on them we used to love this winery.

The tasting is $15 and they don't credit it if you purchase any bottles. There wasn't anyone else around for most of the time we were tasting, the fountain was going, and you had a beautiful view. It was serene and gorgeous. The wines were nice, and since they are part of a larger wine group (Duckhorn, Paraduxx, Migration, Goldeneye), they can offer a wide variety of options. They also cultivate different blocks around the valley, and do at least three block-specific wines, where the altitude and weather variation is evident. They do offer a cheese plate for purchase with your wine tasting.

They also have picnic tables if you brought some food, which we took advantage of and which I would highly recommend.
