Tucked away in a basement, this museum is a trove of rare and even unique weapons, uniforms, patches, medals and much more. Includes a full-scale diorama.

This undercover gem of a museum is well hidden from the public, but worth finding. They have so much World War II memorabilia on display, it’s easy to spend an hour - easily - at this stop. Friendly staff is obviously attached to the history and ambiance. The upstairs antique store is one of the better stops for values in Petaluma. Check it out....

As other reviewers have said, it is in the basement of a consignment / antique shop. Also, we were here just to kill time while waiting for an afternoon tour in Petaluma. It was so amazingly put together! I really had very modest expectations, but was very impressed with the nice collection. The work is all done by the people there, and it is a labor of love for military memorabilia. If you have interest in WWII stuff, this is a place for you. There is also a very nice tribute to a Congressional Medal of Honor receipient from Petaluma. Well worth the 1/2 hour we spent browsing the exhibit. Worth mentioning are the artillery shell art pieces made by soldiers.

This small museum is easy to overlook, as it is fronted by a "junk" shop. But venture downstairs and there is a fascinating little world of WWI and WWII memorabilia. SOme items are for sale, such as military uniforms, but others are part of a permanent collection. There are little vignettes such as a desert camp, army camps in Europe and far flung places. Lots of weapons and ammunition and even an entire jeep on display. Our grandkids loved it.

Nice antique store with a museum in the basement. I was a bit surprised by how clean the items were and the variety of things the store had. We came up to look at the military antiques and the museum and wound up purchasing a few items to take home. Plan for more than an hour to look around.
