This park has beautiful views all around, and the hike is not too strenuous depending on the trails you take. There is a small pond where people fish and a park for kids to play in, as well as miles of hiking trails (dirt and paved). There are also many benches throughout along the trails which is great to take... More

This is a great little park to take a stroll at any time of the day. The trails are fairly nice and easy. Just watch out if it is muddy!

In the year that I've moved to Sonoma County, I have gone to several parks, I think Helen Putnam is proving to be a firm favorite. I like the trails, the hilly climb and the spectacular view. I hiked last week in the rain and it was peaceful and serene. There was an air of mystery about the trees covered... More

although I live within 20 miles of this park it took me awhile to get here. I was pleasantly surprised. You can get a "work out" here...steep in sections, very picturesque.

Several easy trails and one or two that are steeper. Pleasant pond not far from entrance, ADA accessible by paved path. Oak woodlands on ridge top offer gorgeous views up the Petaluma valley, and down to Bay. Within the oak woodlands you are in a forest, lots of bird life, and several benches along the paths to sit and enjoy... More
