We had a nice walk to see Pigeon Point Light Station, which is a historic light house in Pescadero. There are various signs that tell you about the history of the place. There is also a hostel. There are also amazing views of the Pacific Ocean plus some nice sandy beaches. v

Although at the time, the lighthouse itself was being renovated. Exhibits were informational. One thing I didn't know is you can stay there. They have rentals.

We were driving along the coastline and stopped to see this older lighthouse. It has an easy exit and entrance to the highway and a parking lot close to the parking lot. Much of the area is fenced off including the light house itself. That does not prevent you from walking the grounds. There are several items to see to include a small garden, a walkway to see the surf on the south and a set of stairs down to the beach. On our visit there was a seal asleep on the beach. It was very cool to see and made the visit very special for us. If you like lighthouses, then this is a good place for you.

The lighthouse is in a beautiful location with stunning views on three sides. We were able to watch harbor seals playing in the waves near the rocks at the tip of the Point. We also saw dolphins and a whale swimming by.

Planned first day of 2020/Birthday at this site due to its ocean front location and ocean front hot spa, but ruined totally by an irresponsible, inconsiderate and extremely RUDE female front desk employee! To make long story short, front desk was not there ( meal break sign there/ window closed) at the time when I arrived to get the spa site key— our spa time was 8:05pm-8:35pm, we were there at 8:10pm. We thought we will just do a short spa time then, but surprisingly to see on the closed window sign showing meal break-will be back 8:40pm. What!? That means our spa time has been deprived on this specific day!! And nobody can help before spa time ends! Waited there for her to come back and I did have questions to ask her as why nobody was there to help while knowing the key has not been set up ; or another way , if you knew you would have meal break around that time, why not set up the key earlier or let us know you will not be there if passed certain time point. Before I can completely finish my first question , this woman cut me off by saying I was late. Here is the fact that drove this woman go crazy: at the time when I started talking to her, she didn’t realize that one of my roommates happened to be on the session right before me and my roommate came back to the room saying she couldn’t return the key because window was closed/nobody’s there, I almost didn’t believe what my roommate said at beginning. When I pointed out this fact to this employee/woman that when my roommate went to office to return the key earlier , the window was already closed, she almost jumped up and immediately started getting very very aggressive and bombarding me and lost ability to listen one word from me — like she would call the police; like I dont have to live there tonight and she will refund me ( it’s a foggy, cold and drizzling dark night time); and also started insulting me by saying you have a nice room to go and you need to leave and she went to open the door etc...... I understand she didn’t have any excuse or backup to confront me anymore, I told her refund is not priority and I need a solution for this situation..... this employee/woman once again abruptly closed the window. Story already went too long.... I will skip some more details....but another Meal break time be back at 9:20pm. With the determination to get the solution, I went to office again and meal break sign was there again saying BE back at 10:20pm....Yes, now I know how often this front desk will have meal breaks . At the end, the spa time was eventually set for next day which is today but things are different and nobody can make up for me for the first day of 2020. My words about this site is You could encounter some VERY RUDE and Harrassing employee there, be mindful their frequent meal break times.
