Amazing, but very tough course. I walked and had a caddie that saved me numerous strokes, especially on the greens, which were very undulating and lightning fast. Almost every hole had fairway bunkers and deeply bunkered greens. A fair amount of water too. Early holes had beautiful views of the ocean, then the course moved inland to picturesque wooded holes.... More

I played Spyglass after being warned it was a tough course by a local, and boy was he right. I am a single digit and played from the white tees and struggled to break 90. I wouldn't recommend this course if you are an average golfer unless you are sadistic. Not as beautiful as Pebble Beach but a true test... More

We had games here as well as Pebble and Spanish Bay, and this was the course that gave us the best fun. You don't feel under quite as much time pressure as at Pebble, where marshals and caddies are always keeping you up with the field which is undoubtedly nearly always full. And the course itself has some outstanding vistas... More

Beautiful golf course, a great "second" (better than Spanish Bay) to Pebble Beach Golf Links. Don't miss it, but always play Pebble Beach if you can only play one.

played this course in June, really enjoyed it. Im off 12 and you can be aggressive off the tees as the fairways are generous and there is little rough to trouble you. 2nd shots into greens on par 4's and 5's need to be accurate, as things get interesting on the greens - i had a caddy and couldnt believe... Took my husband on a golf trip to celebrate his 50th birthday. Played beautiful Pebble Beach the first day and spyglass the next. The first few holes were beautiful and went well. But for approximately six out of the 18 holes we had very loud, distracting lawnmowers following us. There were also trees being cut down. It really took away... More

The title of this review says it all in a nutshell. The views are magnificent. Caddies are strongly suggested. Our caddie was fantastic at reading the tricky greens Worth the expensive green fees.

I played here in early May. The course was in pretty good condition and the greens were very fast. It's a tough course with deep bunkers that are very difficult to get out of with any control. Overall a great place to play golf, but there's only a small pro shop and a very small on course restaurant. No clubhouse.... More

Pebble is the marquee course around here but for challenge and variety I'll take Spyglass. The length keeps you honest but it is a very fair course. We played off the gold tees and the slope rating was 140 so, a serious challenge. The cafe/restaurant on the course is the only disappointment. Head straight back to Pebble Beach or Spanish... More

Spyglass was not quite as good as I was expecting, that is no disrespect to the course, but more to do with my expectations,I left feeling a little bit underwhelmed by the experience. In truth it's a great course, just not quite as good as they think, but perhaps that's just me.
