The beach at Spanish Bay was stop number 3 and the first by the ocean.
A large parking lot greeted us as we drove in and we had prime parking spots available to choose from.
A wooden walkway ran parallel to the beach and took walkers all the way to The Inn at Spanish Bay.
Crossing over this walkway we walked by a large scattering of rocks. We stopped to add our own stack of rocks before continuing to the beach. We walked along the beach towards the Inn before stopping and turning back. It was a clean beach filled with periodic piles of seaweed. I told my daughters that we could be walking on the same area as the early Spanish explorers who came here in the 1600s.
The overcast skies meant it was a little cooler during our visit but I could see this being a very popular spot with the sun out.

Spanish Bay is wonderful. Stay at the resort, eat & drink on the patio and listen to bag pipe player. Great links style golf course.

Smell of the crashing surf and pine, stunning beauty.
One of the most amazing places on earth.
You can walk the beach or on the trails, eat outside for lunch at a Roy's fire table.
Breath deep.

The Spanish Bay is the 3rd stop on the 17-Mile Drive and the first by the ocean. Being the first ocean spot, most of the visitor stops here. There is quite large parking space to park your car with convenience. Spanish Bay is just inside the limits of the private community of Pebble Beach. Spanish Bay Beach is a wide sandy public beach with sand dunes. Walking on turns and windings through the dunes on wooden boards along the sea shore is quite pleasant and it can take you all the way to The Inn at Spanish Bay. There are stones and rocks on the beach and the beach is filled with seaweeds and it does not have vast clear sand.

Spanish Bay is stop #3, but the first stop after entering from Pacific Grove, along 17-Mile Drive and is a large, picturesque, sandy beach with a few rocks and pieces of driftwood scattered about. The beach is named for Spanish Explorers that camped here in 1769 while looking for nearby Monterey Bay which took them over a year to find.

This is one of the first view points along 17 mile drive. The beach is great and if you look back you can see lots of cypress trees and lots of waves.

There are many beaches and vistas, but this is my favourite of them all. Great surf crashing onto the beach and unspoiled.

Being from the east coast, the west coast shoreline is remarkably different. I love the rocky shoreline.
