Definitely worth a stop on 17 mile drive. Great for shelling or sit in the bench and take in the view.

Fanshell overlook is the Point no 9 in 17 mile drive. Tourist can have a view of Pacific ocean and the area is mostly rocky.

I love the scenery of this stop in the 17-mile drive. On calm weather, you can see the beauty of the ocean. With the sky being blue, the ocean reflection is even better.

Fanshell Overlook provide a wonderful view of the beach and the crashing waves. You'll also find some California Cypress trees that can house Great Snowy egrets. It is definitely worth a stop along Seventeen Mile drive

We returned to do the 17 mile drive at Pebble Beach. One of the Pacific Ocean views is from Fanshell Beach. This area looks like the name. its a very scenic area.

At stop 39 along the 17-Mile Drive, one gets an excellent view of a large, pretty crescent shaped white sand beach with rocky headlands at each end. This is also a major harbor seal pupping beach but our visit was a bit too early to see the harbor seals as pupping generally occurs from early April into June.
