Ghost Tree is unique and is located in the 17 mile drive. Certainly worth stopping over to click some pics.

There are a lot of “strange” trees with the most unique one to form this magnificent view. It’s even more fabulous with a glowing sun coming down to the blue ocean to form a pre-sunset scene. Another great spit to meditate with these trees, especially the lonely, unique one. If the lone cypress is 40-50 years period of our life. This spot is 50-60 years age of our life. Some of roots are out of soil, some of trees are tilted due to the strong wind. The unique (so called the ghost tree) one is by itself without any green leaves and only few branches. Viewing this scene gave myself another boost to move on to another chapter of my life. A must see spot during the 17 miles drive.

I know that by now you will start skipping stations as it all looks alike and similar. Not this one. You need to park and step out of the car. Expect to spend more than 30 minutes here, and the more kids you have, the more time you need.
Take lots of pictures, if you are lucky you will have enough fog to give you the scene of the lone tree with the mountains peaking behind the fog. See my picture attached.
One of the most beautiful places I have visited.

I am not really sure why this was named ghost tree as a spot. Maybe because there are plenty of dead trees around the area? The tree that supposed to look like a ghost was not that obvious.

The spooky, sun bleached cypress trees known as the Ghost Trees are located at stop #10 on 17-Mile Drive. Even more interesting at this stop are the spectacular views off of Pescadero Point at the southern end of this pullout with the rock formations and high surf.
