We visited Law Estates with friends that had visited previously. They had said that their previous visit was a really good experience. None of us could say so after this visit. The tasting experience promises a private tasting with one of their staff to discuss the wine, we got a fresh out of college young woman with inexperience to answer much. The wines are on the higher end with regards to pricing but good; still the impression is that they think more of their wines than they should. They poured shallow tastings and were told we exhausted our pours after asking to revisit only one and only for two of us. They also prompted us off the table after our tasting was concluded despite purchasing over $500 of wine and tipping well. The ingratitude made me want to return the purchase. Between us we have 9-10 memberships with wineries; this is not one we would add.

Due to the stay at home order, Law Estate Wines brought the tasting to our Airbnb instead. Casey and Victoria were knowledgable, friendly, and professional. And Mariah helped us coordinate over the phone and she had great positive energy. Our group enjoyed all of their wines, especially the Audacious and Beyond Category. Pricey but we now have a great memory, so well worth it.

We went there on a weekend. Make sure you have an appointment for wine tasting. The winery is built extremely well on a hilltop. The views are amazing! We had a separate room for our group along with an extremely well versed tasting expert, Evan(?). He walked us through some wonderful wines & was very knowledgeable. Great experience overall.

Finally was able to make a reservation that fit with our schedule. Not real sure why they have the warnings since Google maps guided is right there. Beautiful tasting facility that matched a personal guide with your party for a guided tasting. The wines were well matched to our tastes (everyone is different so you need to decide for yourself), with a heavy emphasis on Grenache.

This is the second year of visiting Law EstateWines and we enjoyed the tasting again. The person doing our tasting was from our home area and went to SCAD.We had her for the second year and she again was entertaining as well as educational. The tasting room is gorgeous. There wines include Audacious. Beguiling, Intrepid and several others. We enjoy all of them. Great visit.

Our favorite winery in Paso. You know when you like the wines and join and then panic that maybe you were a little buzzed and maybe the wine wasn't all that? Well we did and when we got the shipment it was amazing, just as we remembered. They are almost all Rhone style reds but they are so smooth and deep. They also have a lovely rose and white blend.
Our second visit there as members confirmed the knowledge and hospitality of their hosts, the gorgeous site and the best wines in Paso honestly.
Book a visit. You won't regret it.

Law estate definitely is a luxury wine tasting room and experience. We had a fantastic time during our visit and the view was accommodated with amazing hospitality. The only downside was not being able to try their member wines.

Honestly, I can't say anything bad about our experience at Law, but none of the four of us enjoyed our experience here either. The view is stunning, the architecture of the tasting room bold and modern, the "pitch" a little brash for our tastes, and the wine, well, we assume they priced all four blends at the ridiculous price point of $59 in a lame attempt to cover some of their overhead.
Law allows visitors by appointment only, has a huuuuge locked gate at the foot of the hill, where one must ring the bell and be granted admittance. As stated, the view is nice. The $20 tasting fee is at the very high end of the industry range, and is not discounted if a wine purchase is made. Just for that, we didn't buy any wine. Frankly, we wouldn't have bought any wine even if the tasting were free.
The four blends were OK, bare distinguishable, and had been given ridiculously fancy names we couldn't remember if we wanted to.
There are 300 +/- Pas Robles area wineries. Most will provide a more down to earth and warm experience. One and done.

What a find! An exclusive by reservation only private tasting! Jack and I were greeted by Shelly who escorted us to the lower tasting room. We had an expert presentation as well as a visit from Philipp, the winemaker. We were able to converse in German and he told me of his vinicultural history.
After we received a tour of the winery by Shelly. It’s a “green” winery all throughout. I am so glad we found this place. We became instant members.
The wines are a delight, mostly exquisite red blends. Do visit this place but call ahead.

First - we are members of several wineries. We know good wine & appreciate hospitality. Law Estate Wines was 1) not hospitable - appointment required with closed gate. 2) Flat price $75 per bottle to “keep it simple” 3) Short of cozy spaces to sit & enjoy wine with friends. Rather - we found sectioned off rooms with a sales pitch approach. 4) Our tasting appointment felt like a timeshare sales pitch. 4 wines $25 per person. Fee waived only if we purchase 6 bottles. $450 purchase YEAH RIGHT ! The wine is good but not worth the ordeal or the price. Clearly meant to flatter people with more money than brains.
