From the moment we first pulled up to this beautiful winery, I fell in love with the ambiance of this place. Small wooden tables with white linen tablecloths were set up outside the tasting room. There were lots of acorns all over the lawn and a beautiful acorn tree on the property. The place had a very relaxing feel to it outside with views of the rolling vineyards that were turning the colors of fall.

Inside the tasting room is very well-appointed and all of the wines we sampled were excellent. The staff is very friendly and and we were offered a box lunch as we lingered on the property.

The most interesting thing about this vineyard is the The Winemaker's Loft. The entire top area can be rented out by the weekend, week or month. I was given a tour of the Suite, it is absolutely gorgeous, very clean and well-appointed. A spacious living area, full kitchen, two bedrooms and a nice bath. The views from the Loft are heavenly, of the surrounding vineyards and grounds. If you join the Wine Club, one night is complimentary in The Loft, a 2 night minimum is required.

I loved the wines, friendly people, grounds and The Loft at Zenaida Cellars. Don't miss this one while touring the Paso Robles wine region. Two thumbs up to Zenaida Cellars! :)

Nice drive along mountain to the cooler mountains above Pas Robles. Nice tasting room with good wines tucked into the mountain. Snacks available.

We decided to try some new wineries while in Paso. I can't believe that we have driven past this winery so many times without stopping. Never again. Some of the best wines in all of Paso. Ken was our host and he was terrific. We joined their wine club. A terrific deal with great wines. You will not find a bad wine at this winery. Don't pass it by.

Wow, were we disappointed. This place is beautiful, there is a barrel room for cocktail hour and a beautiful oak tree to get married under, we fell in love when we saw, but boy were we treated SO poorly. Jen (in charge of the weddings there) seemed nice in the beginning, but eventually we began to feel more and more like a number. We felt as though we were just being herded through like cattle without much care for us. Leading up to the wedding it seemed as though she would try to do all she could to help us and even offered to hold some decorating items for us a couple days before the wedding, but when we showed up to deliver them as we scheduled, she acted surprised and annoyed that we were there. On top of that, there were numerous rude comments made during our rehearsal evening, wedding morning, and the day after the wedding. One of which involved a gentleman at our rehearsal saying “I’ve got kids” when one of our bridesmaids asked if she could buy a tasting prior to the rehearsal. I would think you could find a nicer way to say “no”. They allow you to sleep on the grounds in one of their rooms, but be careful; Jen will rudely rush you out, EVEN THOUGH you just spent thousands of dollars with them for the day before. The tasting room staff for the most part was sweet, but Jen was whom you had the most contact with and she really ruined a lot of our wedding day experience just because we felt so hated the entire time by her. I wish I could have had a better experience because it is beautiful, but I can’t. Thankfully other vendors during our wedding day made up for Zenaida’s/Jen’s rude behavior and faults. Also, come to find out from other wineries we did wine tasting at, Zenaida Cellars actually has a bad wrap around town for being mean; sadly we were not the first wedding party to talk about and experience rude service from Zenaida.

We were certainly disheartened to read the review left by Ms. Aitken. For a year, our staff worked with her to iron out the details of her special day. Upon arriving to our property to store some of her wedding items, we provided a space for her in our barn, helped her unload, and we also carried those items to her room once the room was ready so that Ms. Aitken could enjoy wine tasting with her friends. When Ms. Aitken arrived at our venue later that day, all of her wedding items had been neatly placed inside her room and were accessible to her for ease of mind. Unfortunately, the tasting room is not open during our rehearsals, unless the venue is rented accordingly, as that takes place after our working hours. As a small boutique winery, we have minimal staff and unless arrangements are made, we typically close at 5p.m. The wedding rehearsals take place on the lawn area so the fact our tasting room closes does not impact the wedding rehearsal. In this case, we were not contracted with Ms. Aitken to provide tasting room service after hours during her rehearsal and were not able to tend the bar after closing. During the actual wedding day, we had the pleasure of working with Ms. Aitken’s wedding coordinator and had very little, if any, contact with the bride during that time. We were informed that Ms. Aitken was ill and all vendors were working diligently to ensure the event was a success so she would not have to worry about it. All Zenaida staff members worked closely with the vendors for set up and take down of the event since Ms. Aitken did not contract labor to do so and we never charged Ms. Aitken for those services rendered. We understand that weddings are expensive and it seems that with thousands of dollars spent that “everything” should be included, but time is money for all of us and every vendor was more than generous to Ms. Aitken. In addition, we also made sure that a cake stand left behind was delivered to the baker the Monday following the wedding as a favor to Ms. Aitken. This required an hour drive to deliver the stand so Ms. Aitken did not incur additional charges. Once again, our time and energy donated to help Ms. Aitken. Perhaps she has overlooked the generosity of us all. As for the check-out of her room, Ms. Aitken was notified one and half hours after the 11:00 a.m. check out time that we needed to get the room prepared for incoming guests scheduled to check in at 3:00 p.m. that afternoon. We gave her as much time as we could before having to ask her to vacate the room. We are unsure as to why Ms. Aitken wants to instigate derogatory information about our winery. Paso Robles is known for its tight knit wine community. We are certain that any ‘bad rap’ about our winery was construed by Ms. Aitken herself and completely unnecessary for her to post in this forum. As you can see from the other reviews posted, this is the exception. We stand behind our staff and the service provided to Ms. Aitken. We are sorry she feels her wedding was ruined but believe that her feelings resonate from issues beyond our control. We wish her nothing but the best in the future

We are long time members of the wine club at Zenaida and it is our favorite Paso winery to visit because of the outstanding wines, beautiful grounds and accommodations, and fabulous wine club with a progressive discount. The biggest reason we love Zenaida is the warm and friendly ZC Crew and the gracious hospitality of Eric and Jill, the owners. From our first visit we have felt like friends and family here which is not often found in the wine industry.
Also, many thanks go out to Zenaida for helping us to have a magical stay and visit there on July 27! Words cannot describe how grateful and blessed we are to be part of the Zenaida family. And a special thanks to Kenvin, Amy, Mandy and Asima for all they did during our stay!

By sort of chance we ended up with a two night stay at the winery. It was better than we expected. The smaller of the two rooms allotted to us was very comfortable. The king sized bed, nice linens and towels were excellent. The room has a small refrigerator for holding wines and some foods but no cooking/microwave. This was good for our purposes. The bath sink is in the sleeping area, the shower/bath and toilet are separated by a pocket door (which locked closed on us as we discovered in the middle of the night but we were able to open by use of a small knife in our picnic kit). There is a large deck on the room level with outside seating and a nice view of the vineyard. Room AC/heating is more than adequate but unnecessary during our temperate season stay. The tasting room is just below the suite but the traffic was low, the staff very pleasant and unobtrusive and we had the place to ourselves after 5 p.m.! Walk the grounds, enjoy the deck, come and go at your pleasure. Highly recommended, especially if you can get the rate at the wine club member charge.
Note: Don't expect maid service or on call concierge.

We headed to Paso for a last minute getaway and were lucky to book one of Zenaida's two rooms, which look directly out onto the vines. The room was quiet, bright and clean with some really pretty touches. And there was a "window" over the bed that looked directly into the cellar -- super cool. This experience totally spoiled me.

Just stopped by on my way through to Cambria on the coast. I chose the winery because the vines stems looked good and thick, so had some age and therefore hopefully some depth in the wines. Friendly, 40 years of producing wine hasn't dampened their enthusiasm, nor their skill: the wines were all 4 or 5 star quality to my palate and showed fantastic varietal qualities too. Wish I could have spent more time there, but the homemade goat cheese and sourdough I bought at the Cambria organic market that day went really well with the bottle of 2015 Wanderlust!

I actually stopped in here because I have a coworker named Zenaida and I thought it'd be fun to bring her home a bottle. I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly everyone in the tasting room was and how much I enjoyed the wine. It's a nice setting with a laid back, unpretentious atmosphere. We also thought the value of the wine here was good - the prices are very reasonable for the quality. It was one of our favorite stops on our recent trip, and we've been to many wineries in the area.
