Located on the quiet and scenic countryside of Paso Robles, the drive out to Dover Canyone is serene and surreal. The tasting room is small and the Zin here is not to miss.

Adjacent to the tasting room is a spacious grassy area where there is a homemade swing. There is a real "Countrytime Lemonade" feel to this quiet and beautiful place called Dover Canyon. We sampled some very good wine and there was also a grilling of Lamb that we sampled that was out of this world!

This was a very nice place to stop during the Harvest Wine Tour this past weekend in Paso Robles.

We stopped in to Dover Canyon Winery for the first time on one of our wine tasting trips. Having never visited the winery, we did not know what to expect, but we were very impressed! We were the only ones in the winery which allowed us to ask many questions and taste all the available wine. Dover Canyon mostly makes Zinfandel wines and blends, and they all were very high quality. The pourer (the winemakers wife) had a very high wine IQ and was more than happy to suggest other small winerys that she thought were very good. The four in our group thought this was a great winery find! We bought a few bottles and knew this winery would be a annual stop.

Note, after tasting the balance of the day we went back to Dover and bought more wine to finish out our case!!!

We have been stopping at Dover Canyon on our annual wine country trip for several years. This year when our limo pulled up, we were told we were not welcome. There were 3 people tasting, and so said our 16 people couldn't be accommodated. No request to perhaps break up the group in two, just no we don't want you here. Well OK, in the future we will not stop.

Small, friendly, great Zin for the money! My husband and I are members of the wine club, and it is very flexible.

There are plenty of big, $10 per tasting, no personality rooms now in Paso and fewer and fewer rooms like Dover.
We had the three kids out playing on the swing and grass while we enjoyed some "Renagade red" (you have to ask for it) and Zins and you have to bring home a bottle of "Cujo". Their wine is good to very good, the price is great and the room is small and simple, frequently staffed by a very friendly person who's always happy to have the company.

Suggest finding you way here.

This is a small winery with some excellent zinfandels. Definitely worth a visit.
