After residing in Paso Robles for a decade, Coy and Sarah Barnes turned their passion for wine, entertaining, and the rural countryside into a thriving little tour company called “The Wine Wrangler”. The Wine Wrangler was created on August 3, 2004 as Paso Robles’ first, authentic wine tour company. Within a year the couple wanted to create an opportunity for everyone to enjoy the Paso Robles wine tasting experience throughout the year, in the comfort of their own homes. They created the first and only wine club featuring Paso Robles wines and took their family business to whole new level. Coy, an educator and winemaker, grows his own zinfandel, cabernet sauvignon, and syrah on the family’s property in Paso Robles. When he’s not escorting visitors through the wine country, he’ll be rustling up wines from some of his favorite Paso Robles wineries and sharing them with the world through his Paso Robles Wine Club. Our greatest pleasure is to help people from out of the area to discover the diversity and finesse of Paso Robles wines. Coy & Sarah Barnes

We decided to take a half day afternoon wine tour with The Wine Wrangler since we never took one before. We were greeted promptly on time at our hotel by Paul Enman. He took us to 3 wineries. Eberie Winery, Glunz Family Winery and Pear Valley Vineyards. We had a great time. Paul was a great guide and would take... More

My wife and I planned a trip to San Simeon and, seeing how close it is to Paso Robles, decided to visit some wineries. But the road from San Simeon to Paso is 2 lanes with lots of curves. It's also about a 30-40 minute drive. Not being familar with most of the wineries in that region, I asked about... More

I used the Wine Wrangler for a private party for my cousin's Birthday. They picked us up at my home in Paso with champagne for the Birthday girl !! The ever pleasant Robert helped me with the itinerary, and was always helpful when I would call with questions or changes. Jim, our driver, was great - he seemed to be... More

I could not say enough good things about our first wine tasting experience.. Pauley at Wine Wranglers helped make this trip amazing.. with his experience, his stories, knowledge of the wineries and everywhere we went the staff loved him, it was so much fun! Would highly recommend Pauley and Wine Wranglers and can't wait to come back.

This was a weekend of many firsts. Our first time in Paso Robles and our first time doing a wine tour. Thank goodness we called the Wine Wrangler at the advise of our hotel, The Paso Robles Inn (Adam). The Wine Wrangler picked us up at our hotel and we were greeted by this wonderful man named Paulie. It was... More

Hiring a tour company is the best way to experience Paso Robles and Wine Wrangler is the company to hire. Our guide, Paulie, provided interesting info about the area and each of the five wineries we visited. We enjoyed seeing both smaller wineries and larger operations. And we had a delicious box lunch too. Great value for the money. I... More

We opted for this tour as it enabled both of us to sample the wines without worrying about drink/driving. Dave, our tour guide, drove 45 minutes from Paso Robles to pick us up from our hotel, and returned us there in the evening. There were 3 other couples in our party and once we were all on board, we visited... More

We booked this through the Apple Farm for a tour of Hearst Castle which included picnic lunch, winery and local scenery. We are 4 women of a "certain age" who love being waited on and carted around! TONY was our guide and he couldn't have been more perfect. He took such good care of us!

Thank you Wine Wrangler! It was a beautiful fall day and our tour guide Paulie made the day even better! He asked us what kind of wines we enjoyed and took us to a couple of places we didn’t know about. We soon found new favorites because of his suggestions. Paulie was quite the photographer, helping us capture the essence... More

We had a fabulous tour of the Paso Robles Wine Country on a Wine Wrangler tour led by Tony. Tony chatted with us about the kind of wine we liked and the kind of wineries we wanted to visit. We spent a very pleasant day touring 6 wineries and a picnic lunch was provided. We had so much fun and... More
